The weight I figured above is for the B&C. I could go to the McMillan hunter, at 26 oz, and save another 9-10 oz’s and that may be the route I go but that is a several hundred dollar upgrade that I would avoid if I can.

I would recommend checking out the Rab Valience. 6 oz of 800 FP, box baffled, and has a pertex shell that is waterproof. I haven’t tested its durability yet but I suspect it will be pretty sturdy.
