I need a lightweight bivy to use inside my tipi. Was planning on ordering a Borah but wasn’t in a hurry because I didn’t expect to get to use it for awhile. However, unexpectedly I think I am gonna be hunting mid September and I can’t get a Borah in time. Any other suggestions for a super light...
Getting ready to head in on a deer hunt when the bubble guts hit. Was a pretty good distance to the nearest tree or downed log and I didn’t have time for that, so squat it was. I may or may not have lost my balance trying to get up and fell back in it. Brings some clarity to the saying “shit...
Warmth is very subjective but IMO the sawtooth isn’t nearly warm enough to be the only I have. I would leave it at home or take a soft shell to layer over.
At 6’2” I can position without touching the sides but I move around a fair bit while sleeping and use a long down bag... I would rather carry the extra weight than wake up with a wet foot box.
Hexapeak is lightly used with no defects, brown color, and has stove jack. Long shot but would like to trade for an XL with stove jack (this one is too small for me at 6’2”) and I don’t care about color.
On the shelf at Walmart, but here in the Midwest they are seasonal. They clearance them in the spring and bring them back closer to fall. Finding them Ins the summer has been nearly impossible.
Also some of you may be interested... they have shorts of the same material (also at Walmart)...
I have trouble quoting on here... regarding holes in the bags from vac sealing;
I havent tried it but I saw a Video where the guy lined the inside of his bag with a paper towel before putting the food in. Said it prevented the holes. Of coarse, it is more trash to deal with but I guess having...

Looking for some advice. I need a lightweight “shell” to go over my puffy for late season whitetail archery hunts. Needs to be camo, fairly quiet, preferably not too expensive, and full zip. Wind or rain repellant and added warmth are not really important though I am not sure you can ever have...
I hunt public for deer a lot so my response is specific to that... I don’t have enough experience with elk or bear nor large swaths of public out west to speak intelligently. That said, your absolutely right about people “claiming” public property or other illegals activities. You shouldn’t and...
Been researching puffy’s to death and think I finally scored one that I am going to be happy with... 6 oz of 800 FP down, box baffled, waterproof Pertex shell, and at a pretty good price. excited to get my hands on it and really hoping it is warm enough, I run pretty cold. Anyone else running...
