I'd concentrate on reducing pack weight then look at one of the long distance packs, meaning ULA, Zpacks, MLD or SeekOutsides ultralight bags. Hunting packs are great at what they were built for, a semi heavy load to camp and a heavy load out. The other packs are designed to wear day in and day...
I guess you could but I'd sell the DST for a $100 then add the $150 and you almost have enough for a Silvertip. Or go with the Eolus and add a stove jack.
I'm just guessing here but the additional hardware would be the 10 line locks and cordage so the price difference between those and the zipper are probably a wash. When you figure in the added fiddle factor of installing those and subtract out the zipper seam, again probably a wash.
plastic painters drop cloth. comes in a two or three pack for like $4 at Wallyjob. WAY lighter then tyvek and is actually waterproof. I've also tried polycro (window wrap) but it isn't very durable.
You're gonna have to deflate it and roll it up. Just unscrew the valve while laying there making coffee or putting your boots on. Through hikers do it every day for sometimes months on end.

Have you considered a canvas tipi/sibley? They run a single pole with 10 to 20 tie outs and can withstand some serious wind and snow load. They're made out of 10.10oz Sunforger canvas and weight anywhere from about 30-50lbs. Check out Dark Timber Bows to see some pics or PM me and I can get you...
Looking to get a stove for my Silvertip. I was all set to order a Lite Outdoors cylinder stove but watched some YouTube vids complaining about durability so started researching box style. I like the weight savings of the Cub over the medium size but am concerned that it's gonna be too small to...
