A blade of some sort. Small SAK models will have a blade and tweezers.
I like to carry a single-dose size of crazy glue. Works for slice-type wounds and some gear repair too.
It's definitely a fun time. Frustrating for sure at times, but a blast doing flintlock drives or still-hunting in the laurel thickets in the gamelands.
This will not help you, but I've had that experience with several shotshell manufacturers over the years. I've also got a case of Rio BBs that are crimped so blasted hard that they blow the ends of the hulls right out of the muzzle and make a mockery of my patterns. Shoot enough shot shells and...
Generally, what is referred to as a new action has both action bridges rounded in shape. The old 110 had a flat-top rear action bridge. As far as I know, all accu-trigger equipped Savage guns should be the double-round bridges.
Thanks for that info. Yes we are going DIY on walk in and public land. Success or not, the experience of the chase on wild birds on the prairies with my father is the payoff.

Good link there.
Only to add foods that i like to pack that are admittedly not meals per se:
- 1/2 jar of plain, no-sugar-added peanut butter mixed with 1/2 jar worth of either butter or coconut oil. Add lite salt to taste. This keeps up the calories from the fat, but cuts down on the carbs...
I know the OP has made a purchase already, but for anyone else in the market another option is the USIA waders. They are a dry-suit manufacturer that also makes waders from dry-suit fabric. I got a pair made for me by them and they have been bomber for 2 years so far. They are super tall going...
Thanks. Jeff (RIP) at CDI did the inletting when I purchased the bottom metal. I did have to add some filler and re-contour a little around the bottom metal before I added the paint job. I think the Stockade stocks (I have 2) are very well made, and they can be had in basically any of the action...
