Decarbonizing the plant to slow warming. In the UK this week with all time record heat. If warming is not man influenced, then we’re all screwed. If we can reduce footprint, then maybe we can slow all this change. As the ice caps melt, lake effect snow will continue to plague alaska’s ranges...
Its getting close now...I can't believe August 23 is fast approaching. Wanted to share some thoughts about this adventure.
I'm hunting MMO for Sheep, Caribou and Moose. My first time for all three. Of the three, only seen a moose in the wild. Booked in 2018 and looks like its going to...
Thanks everyone. Just what I needed to help me decide - went with Minus 33 though Kuiu was a close 2nd - but didn't want camo pattern and that's all Kuiu had.
A recession is brewing…May mean nothing in this premium hunt, however it is likely to slow things down for a couple years. If nothing else, it may pause the inflation in these hunts for a year or two.
I'm coming back from Norman Wells to Edmonton this September. I'll land in YEG around 7PM and catch an 8:30AM out next morning. Will I need a PRC Raid Test in Edmonton to get in the US? Does anyone know if this is possible in Edmonton with such a small window of time I'm there?
I love my Kimber Montana in 308. Its the families go run - my daughter took an AK Grizzley 8' 2" this spring, and I took a cow and bull elk, Muley buck and two antelope - all this year. 60 yrds to 400 yrds. With ammo availability and cost I'm dumping my 300 WSM and 270 WSM...can't get ammo...
Well, 2 years later my 2020 hunt is looking pretty good for 2022. After being pushed out, the excitement is starting to build. My boss approved the time off - 2 weeks. Canadian North was great about applying my ticket credit to an August flight and I'm starting to think about getting in...
Seeing the big dollars fly reminds me these hunts are getting more expensive and I'm not rich....I'll save the $2,000 it would cost me to go the show and use that for my next hunt. The inflation rate is insane and all the new millionaires created in the markets the past couple years must be...
I usually use Nosler Trophy grade in my Kimber Montanas; However, I've several You Tube reviews using other brands with the Mountain Ascent. Who has experience with the Mountain Ascent and can speed up my learning curve with this 6.5 creedmore? Help please.
Well, This was my post nearly 1.5 years ago. I can say, I'm confident my 2020 hunt is not happening; but, my 2022 pushed date is a very high probability assuming I can drop my Covid 20 among other body breakdowns!
We just returned from a week with Jake chasing grizzly. It was a super time and many thanks to Rokslide for connecting us. Please see my pictures below. Both bears squared over 8 ft.
There were a significant number of applications this - I think Go Hunt republished FWP article. Up +30%. This trend will continue until the economy cools off in 2023 or 2024. If you are used to going every year, more likely every other year if you hold 2 points.
In July FWP will draw you position in line. Make sure you go for elk only for the best chance to draw. If you’re really committed to deer and elk, then go for the Combo tag.
Rule of thumb is about 300 combos and many more elk only tags go out in the alternate drawing. Last year was far more and they essential were first come first serve by October. This year will probably be more normal. So if you want the best odds - go for elk only.
