I can’t get past the “3 guys sleeping in an SUV”… lol. I’ve spent many nights in my 4Runner during weekend hunting trips by myself, it’s why I like a 4x4 SUV for a hunting vehicle, but I’d be damned if I’d cram into one with 2 other dudes!!

From the article... "Recipients without the Bullitt Satellite Messenger app will receive your message via SMS, but will need to download the app if they want to respond."
Not sure I really like that, pretty sure when my wife texts me back when I inReach her, she's just doing it as a regular...
I’ve been using a petzl rock climbing harness for years. For me it’s way way simpler, lighter, and easier to put on/off. Granted, I’m hunting western Nebraska, Eastern Colorado, occasionally Wyoming, etc. so my need and frequency for climbing very high is not very often.

I wear merino socks pretty much all the time now. Key is Sierra Trading Post. Just search merino, they always have them. Better still if there’s a store near you. I’ve picked up smartwool, iniinjini, farm to feet, etc. and have never paid more than probably 10 or 12 bucks a pair.

I have a few things from Kuiu. Some I like and some I don’t. I had their 145 merino hoodie and it fell apart in a 2 seasons. Holes and tears everywhere. Holes in the back wore through from my backpack. Grab the bottom and pull down cuz it was riding up on me and fingers punched through the...
Put together an AR for myself in 6ARC recently and got out the other day to see how it’s shooting. Man this thing is a shooter! It loved Precision Hunter 103 ELD-X’s. Shot several 5 shot groups under an inch.
Gun is aero precision upper/lower, JPE BCG, triggertech diamond, compass lake 20”...
I live just under an hour drive from RMNP and truthfully I haven’t been much in the last several years due to the increased crowds. I do fish it quite a bit during the week when I can get a day off from work. As much as like it, I’d have to give the nod to Glacier NP though, that’s definitely my...
Just curious, why the 34’s on the 4Runner? I’ve got a 21 4Runner and for me it’s pretty much the ideal hunting rig. I hunt by myself, so being able to easily sleep in my rig is a must. A factory non lifted 4Runner with BFG’s or other good all terrain tire, will get me anywhere I need to go off...
Those shafts are not tapered above the max cut off line, that’s the whole point of marking them so you know where to stop and not get into the taper. According to Easton, it’s 4” to the max cut line so you can take them down to 28” (I’m assuming they are 32” uncut). I just saw a YouTube vid from...
I was there 96-97. I spent 6 months in Uijonbu at Camp Red Cloud, and six months on a mountain tip called Casey 39’er. Good times, I loved my time in Korea and would love to go back and visit again! Stay away from that one specifically hill in Itaweon lol

I haven’t in a long time. It’s a lot of work. When I lived in South Carolina I made arrows for my self bow from local river cane. There was also a lot of guys on tradgang at the time making them out of Martha Stewart branded bamboo tomato stakes lol. I’ve also made them out of straight grained...
I’m sure the saddle versus tree stand debate has been hashed out a ton, but I’m just throwing this out there for anyone whose got an M7 ultralight stand.
I’ve been thinking about getting a saddle, but I’m turned off by the cost and potential comfort that a saddle brings. I’m a long time user of...
I've lived in the urban corridor of the Colorado Front Range for nearly 20 years now. Sure, there are a lot of people here that have no clue about wildlife, no clue about how it is managed, etc. They typically don't know or care to understand land use rules or anything else that affects our...
I'm really frustrated, because the unit I have been applying requires one more point each year. And thats one point more than I have.. So I didnt draw with 9 points this year, but last year 9 drew 100%, previous year 8 drew 100%. Hoping next year 10 will draw 100% and I can finally get out...
Seriously though, just like with clothing or any other aspect of gear, you have to understand your use case for it, and understand what the stuff is made of and capable of. Otherwise, you are likely going to just be paying the marketing teams salary.
Any of the reputable outdoor companies; ie...
Ugh, I’m one point behind the elk unit I’m trying to draw. When I had 7 points, it took 8. When I had 8, it took 9. Went into it this year with 9, and didn’t draw… [emoji20]

I don’t have the Outlanders but I do have the waterproof Boulder boot. They are not made nearly as well as the VivoBarefoots. They aren’t bad, but honestly they are not super high quality. I’ve beat the hell out of them though and they haven’t failed yet. The soles are glued not stitched, and...
Are all the Elk draws complete now? I dont see a CC hit, but I also havent got any emails from CPW and it still shows as "Entered" on the website. I did draw archery deer tag and a bear tag at least
I bought a pretty nice bike a few years ago, specifically for NW Montana logging roads. Kind of wish I’d got an e-bike, but for that context a regular bike works fine. Logging roads are not bad because there’s never any extreme hill climbs. That said, a long gradual uphill, even on fairly smooth...
