I'd like to take up archery as a backup to rifle hunting. I'd occasionally mule deer and elk hunt with it. I measured my draw length @27" I'd like to spend ~ $800 for the bare bow. I've heard there's lots of savings to be had by buying used, but considering I know very little about bows, I'd...
I'd like to get into archery hunting and have read that going used is a good way to get started. I would want to meet at an archery shop and have them look the bow over before I buy. Budget is $600-$800, depending on accessories.
Over the last couple of weeks I've loaded 200 each 40 S&W and 10mm. 70 308 w/Starline srp brass, 100 6.5 CM w/130 TMK. Wet tumbled a lot of brass in preparation of selling. All in the interest of move this spring. Also ordered a new .223 yesterday.
I have a large lot of Hornady 6.5 CM brass if...
Sometimes you have to do things your way. Believe it or not, the masses on RS are not always right, nor do they know what the hell they're talking about.
I'm always amazed by the "eat what you shoot" comments. These guys must not coyote hunt or shoot varmints. I don't think most guys have any idea that a coyote and a bear have the same diet.
If I'm backpacking and shoot a bear I leave the meat, where legal. This spring I shot a bear on a...
For my 22-250AI I used 200 pieces of Lapua. Everything went very smooth. I've decided fireforming just takes too long to fire through the virgin brass. I bought Peterson 280AI brass for a future project.
If I were in your shoes, I'd buy 100 Starline and wait for Lapua. I'n currently using...
I shot a 22-250AI fire forming load in my 6.5CM. No harm no foul, but I did waste a 22-250 Lapua case. Those 2 cases with ELDms loaded look awfully similar.
Loaded 50 7-08 for the youngest boy's rifle. 150 ELDx & RL 16. Tomorrow I may set up the LnL progressive and load some 40 S&W or 10mm. With a possible move this spring I need to get some rounds made up so I can focus on other things.
