My older shorthair was a PIA as a retriever. The summer she was 1 1/2 one of my clients was a professional trainer. He offered to take her on when we got back to America. Molly sat there and listened while we had dinner in the lodge. Got home for only one day and they had me guiding a group from...
I'm also in the Euro camp. On my way home from Africa, lots of great pics. Cost difference between euro and shoulder let me keep hunting. I have one big horn and one Elk shoulder mounted. Last couple of years euro mounts.
Either way, that is an enormous bull, worthy of a quality mount. Have you...
We saw one pride of lions, got within 250. Guide said we won't push it. So exhilarating to get so close. Been spraying grizz for 20 years in Alaska, first lion takes the cake
Retired at 55, guided for another 10, no time off there. But now, I just kinda go when she's tired of seeing my face, she is loving Africa. Starting home tomorrow.
Amazed how long legged they are, I'm guessing they are the most cautious of all the critters we encountered on a three week hunt. They leave a couple decoys near the bull and fan out flankers as far as 200 yards. Bark kinda like a cow elk and adios.
Great pic
I'm still in South Africa for a few days. Had a great hunt. This kind of stuff is loved by the PHs. They read this and howl with delight. WTF is wrong in America? They ask.
When I was a kid the ranchers used to pay us a nickel a piece plus 22 ammo. But it’s still fun. Don’t shoot the irrigation lines either. Tends to result in a negative response next time.
