    Help with Electrician Apprentice tools

Not a sparky but most of the ones I've worked with love their tool backpacks. Be careful on the hard hat, some companies have color code requirements based on your role/position.

    SWFA 1-4x24 turret problem

Got an email back this morning after I sent a picture in. They said to send it in and most likely would replace it.

    SWFA 1-4x24 turret problem

In my experience, most companies that care would ask for a proof of purchase.

    SWFA 1-4x24 turret problem

Thanks, wasn't sure how they'd be with a used scope. I'll get a message out to them.

    SWFA 1-4x24 turret problem

Yes. I'm a welder not a machinist but i was very surprised at how coarse it was threaded and how few threads there are.

    SWFA 1-4x24 turret problem

I recently picked one of these up used. I put it on my AR and took it to the range today. While getting an initial zero, the elevation turret began spinning out instead of adjusting. This is a different style than the turret on the 3-9 SWFA that I have so I'm curious if this is a known issue or...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

It came this way when I traded for it. I hate it but I've been too lazy to change it. Finally bought a can of green spray paint the other day.

Once again I say, yall are a bad influence (picked the scope up for $200 used though)

Truck / SUV suited for Snowy Icy Roads

Not deep snow. Sand I have. Heard the same things from people about sand. I'm not trying to say they're the best vehicles in the world, just figured I'd throw some facts in with the opinions.

Truck / SUV suited for Snowy Icy Roads

Subaru is full time awd, standard torque split of 60/40 that the computer can change to 50/50. Open diffs. Standard outback and forester are just shy of 9" of ground clearance and the wilderness models have 9.5" (4runner has 9.6" stock for comparison).

Did any of you guys go directly into big game hunting as opposed to small game hunting first?

I started with deer. Hunted only deer a couple years and then started hunting turkey and squirrels too. Now in the fall I'm just hunting deer long enough to get enough freezer space filled so I can spend the rest of my time chasing squirrels. I think there's a ton of value in teaching kids to...

Scope Field Eval Explanation and Standards

Good to know. An AR is a secondary hunting rifle for me anyway so I can live with that.

Scope Field Eval Explanation and Standards

I dont think there has been, but has there been any testing of SWFA's AR scope? (1-4x24) I'm looking to put one on my 16" AR. I'm loving my 3-9 on my bolt gun.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Makes plenty of sense. I'm only out West every other year though for a single trip. Mostly hunt within 1 mile of car here in NC.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

I just keep coming back to pricing out a nice-ish AR and a Tikka and I don't have any reason to go with the AR. Even if I just did a nice upper I'm still not that far off.

    Tool Question?

I use Milwaukee stuff every day at work (welder). I beat the heck out of the 18v fuel stuff but I would absolutely say the 12v will do what you need for homeowner stuff. Dewalt's multitool is better but if you aren't doing big remodels or anything it probably isn't enough difference to worry...
