I'm currently considering a 22" 6CM Howa build with an IBI Medium Hunter. Need to source a Stockys V2 here in Aus before I'll launch!
My favourite forum thread of all time is the Semi-Custom Tikka thread on rokslide. Over the last 2 years I would estimate I've browsed through every page of the thread at least once a week. It's incredible, and has inspired three different semi-custom tikka builds.
However, there's a need that...
Loved the KRG ergos! It really is an amazing rifle chassis. It's just a little hard to carry comfortably in a Kifaru Gun Bearer and is just a bit bulky for a dual purpose hunting rifle. However, I still have two bravos on other rifles and love how they operate.
Here is the evolution of my Tikka T3 7mm08. Purchased in 2016 it was originally a Tikka Laminate but after one range session I sold the laminate stock as I hated the ergonomics. I then put it into a GRS Berserk stock which had fantastic ergonomics, but just had way too much flex in the forend...
I love my LHT! It has tracked perfectly from 100-1300m. The reticle is actually perfectly suited for this scopes application, and the most outstanding surprise I got when using it was its low light capability... the razor glass is brilliant at last light. I would highly recommend people to grab...
I seriously love my 3-15×42LHT. Have put 500 rounds through my 6.5prc with it mounted and I'm sold. Have taken some last light shots over 400m and have been pleasantly surprised with the resolution and amount of light transmitted.
I've been watching this thread for months and can finally post My first semi custom tikka build.
Thanks to iceng.au for the gunsmith work!

I have a Tikka T3 7mm08 cut down to 18". Shoots 0.5moa groups using 162gr ELDMs, Peterson Brass, FED210M and 2208 (Varget). I get about 2530fps running a very mild load. When it was at 22" I ran it at 2680fps. Both loads I have taken game to 500m with no problems, and shot steel to 1000m.
I know that you have set some specific magnification ranges but I have been using a 10x42 swfa on all my hunting guns and have shot game to 500m and targets to 1300m with them with no problems. That would save you $1000 straight up. The only problem I have had with the 10x is standing shots...
I have just made the switch across to GeoBallistics and really happy with the feature sets. I like how comprehensive the bullet library is, including stepped BC's. It also can export a very useable print out drop chart.
