Stone sheep along the cassiar highway?

I'm driving up the cassiar highway in late June, first time. Is there any where along there I'd have a shot at seeing a stone sheep. Minor detour or some hiking is possible, but I'll have my 6 yr old along. Thought it was worth asking on here, in case there's somewhere I can pull over for a camp...

We also got a cloudburst 3 for small family and dog backpacking tent. It’s great. I also own a bowfin.

Backpacking stove in wall tent .

My xl lite outdoors titanium stove will heat a 12x12 nicely in 20 deg weather with dry wood. I don’t mess with keeping it burning overnight. I bought it for my tipi but it’s easier on my back than lugging the three dog steel out by myself

    Oregon spring bear

Access can be more challenging in WW/MtEmily in spring. People would be piled on top of each other if they issued more tags. They could harvest more bears, but the hunt quality would decline. there are a lot of bears in that country though for sure.

    Lowa Renegade GTX Owners

I had a pair of renegade mids for easy country and daily driving. Tibets for the steep. My partner does it all in sportiva shoes, so it’s really just a preference thing. Ive tried a half dozen of the lowa boots. I got a lot of miles on the renegades before I retired them. I liked the Camino for...

New Arrow Build for 2022 *Update

Here is what worked for me. I shoot an old Mathews Heli-m 29" draw, with 28.25" arrow length @ ~67lbs draw weight. Years ago, the archery shop set me up with 400 spine arrow and 100gr points, standard inserts (high velocity for sure). I shot many WT deer and one cow elk. In the middle, I swapped...

Seek Outside Tent + Stove = Cold?

Yes. get a better pad. you can freeze under a zero bag or quilt in 20 degree weather with a lesser pad. I went through a couple and now have an xtherm for backpacking and an exped megamat (R10) for car camps. It's life changing. You can also double up with various forms of foam pads. I use two...

    Sea to Summit Sleeping Pads

I have an xtherm. Ordered a Nemo tensor and the S2S ether light for my wife to test out. I also tried both. the ether light is the most comfortable lightweight pad I’ve tried. I’m ordering one for myself. And will only use the x when it’s really cold. I only sleep on my side, and I think the...

    Pack for the wife

This is the route I went for day hunts. Couldnt get the stone glacier to fit her very well, the 26” frame is just too long for a very small person. she tried a SO pack at BHA several years ago, they have a better range of adjustment as mentioned above.

    Arrow Spine Question

I shoot a similar arrow length and draw weight. I rolled the dice with the 250 carnivores Vs 300. I shot them with various weight up front and 250gr of ethics and point weight seemed to be the sweet spot. It’s slower than I’d like but can’t argue with good flight. This is for an elk setup.
