Athlon Ares G2 15-45x65 vs Gen 1 Razor 11-33x50

I thought I wanted the 11-33 but just realized that I think the reticle eye pieces do not work with them. I have access to new Athlon Ares G2 scopes (15-45x65) for ~500$; is the razor appreciably better than the ares?
