Sounds like a set of chains are what I’ll need, at a minimum. Thanks guys.
No. I’ve never used either. That’s why I asked.

Looking to add one of these options and wondering which you guys would recommend. Traction mats like these - MAXSA Escaper Buddy Traction Mat (Set of 2) for Off-Road Mud, Sand, & Snow Vehicle Extraction Orange 20333 Amazon.com: MAXSA Escaper Buddy Traction Mat (Set of 2) for Off-Road Mud, Sand...
Anybody know a packer that would be able to help in the Little Belt Mountains in Montana this Sept? Post here or DM if you know anybody would be great.
Thanks for the info, Paul. I just listened to your podcast with Cody Rich and will queue this one up as well. Also heard 1 or 2 from you before (last year I believe). I thought you had a very interesting approach I don't hear much of - starting out smaller and building up the intensity level...
I'm shooting a Hoyt Defiant 34" at 70lb draw. Thinking of going from 125 grain to 100 grain BHs. Think the 100 grain heads would be an improvement? That would put my arrow weight with 100 grain head at about 460 grains total.
Ok, so took my bow in to have these things looked at. Had the cams timed (they were off by about 1/4 inch), tightened up the rest string a bit which did seem to fix the issue with it not popping down in time for the fletchings to clear, moved the nock point slightly up, and moved the rest to...

After having accuracy issues when I started practicing with fixed blade heads from field points, I thought I needed to properly tune my bow, so have started paper tuning it. I began with consistent bottom right tears and made the adjustments to bring that left before working on the bottom tear...
Here’s some updated testing on the non-vented vs the vented IWs - Iron Will Broadhead: Solid vs Vented Flight Test - YouTube. Looks like the non vented are shooting just as well based on this.
I’m getting a chance today to shoot the non vented for the first time.

Check out Tenba as well. They have inserts you can put your camera and lenses into, that will then go into whatever other bag you have, depending on size.

Glad to hear the real world feedback on Gaia. Thanks for sharing. I've got OnX for a single state right now, and will most likely need it for another state for this coming season. At that jump in price, I might as well give Gaia Premium a try for what could end up being a comparatively...
Hey Brendan, did you end up being able to compare these 2 last season? Looking at Gaia Premium for this coming year and wondering how it worked out for you.
Another option that might work for you is the Illinois State Rifle Association. They've got 100, 200, and 300 yard rifle ranges, as well as a number of handgun ranges. I've been a member there for a few years now and have been happy with it. It's out in Bonfield, IL.
Field and Stream just put up a list of "60 books every outdoorsman should read." I'm sure there are some good ones in there.
