Set up a short barreled Ruger in 450BM for my son. I removed the brake and installed the barrel cap. To me recoil off the bench was similar to a .308 and the noise was the usual.
I had a Barney's pack for several years and it is one tough pack. The waist belt never was quite right on my scrawny frame though. I then moved to a Camptrails external which for some unknown reason fits me better.
At 62 the first item on my hunting list is Extra Strength Tylenol. I've slowed down a bit but take the time to enjoy it more. My idol is a 86 year old at church that still solo day hunts for elk.
I'd like to add a meat/freighter shelf to my Camptrails external frame pack. I just use the frame for packing out quarters but it does not have the shelf. Before I start cobbling stuff I figured I'd ask.
Any ideas on a good way to duplicate the factory shelf or an alternative?
Hornady FPB full bore conical muzzle loader bullets 350 grain. Original OEM packaging are trimmed so they fit in a flat rate shipper.
They shoot great in my Omega but the bore is just over .500 and I am tired of pushing them down.
26 - resized to .502 diameter
35 - factory .506 diameter
$65...
I know this is a bit late for planning but.
I have 9 PP for elk in WY and would appreciate thoughts on a specific unit. I am a NR but will have time to scout.
Would prefer your thoughts through a PM.
Thanks in advance.
Slept in this bag for 6 nights in a wall tent, moved to a camper so its too warm. Was washed in an extra large front loader after use and always stored in a large tote. $90 shipped lower 48.
This is a 5 degree bag that has never been slept in. I purchased about 6 years ago, 6'0", right zipper, see tag picture for more info. Stored in the OEM storage bag in a smoke free, pet free environment. Only time it has been in the stuff sack was when it was shipped to me. Cross posted.
