Getting into Canada with a DUI Conviction

Makes sense. Guess I thought other countries would have limited access to that stuff.

    Necessary items in your truck

Why anyone chooses to drag an elk, ever, especially a mile, is beyond me. I don't drag anything. Much easier to cut and carry.

Getting into Canada with a DUI Conviction

Question: How do they know? Not having a DUI (not judging either and definitely not a saint) does it show on your DL or do the Canadians just have access to the info?

    Necessary items in your truck

Knife, game bags, pack. I do always take a shovel and tire chains. Oh, and a cold beer too.

    Scope upgrade advice.

There isn't much that isn't an upgrade over the Crossfire. The SHV is definitely a huge step up and can be had new for less than a grand.

Meat aging. Promise, this is a different question.

I hang for a few days if cold enough and schedule permits. I've also cut and wrapped the same or next day the thawed and cooked without aging. Never could tell the difference so I just let my schedule dictate the process for a given animal.

    RV’s are the topic.

We've had a Lance trailer for almost 5 years now. Been great. My wife wants a motorhome but I'm really wanting a truck bed camper. First world problems for sure. We'll see what the next few years brings.

    Am I in the wrong?

Only you can judge if you're wrong for being pissed off. Internal vs external locus of control. I probably wouldn't be too happy either.

    35" offroad tire question

I am (or was) a truck whore. At 44 years old I've had 8 trucks. Not bragging; it was foolish. Took me to get a little older to realize monthly payments forever suck. With that came tires. I've had a ton of different ones. My current truck is a 2017 RAM 2500 I bought new in January of 2018. I'm...

We have officially come full circle!

Had been shooting 100 grain Hornady for a long time. Was never great. Loaded the 95 ballistic tips using the Painless Method, groups 1/2 the size. Went from a 300 yard gun to consistently ringing at 600 for my son. Think we have a winner for that gun.

Binoculars or rangefinding binoculars for elk?

Went through the same dilema when upgrading some gear. I'm in the separate bino and RF camp. I went with some used Nikon HGs from here and a new Leica RF2400 rangefinder from Doug an Cameraland. I'm in to everything for less than $1,200.
