CBE Tek hybrid Pro 3 pin slider. Simple sight with easy adjustments and the dial is very smooth. Not crazy about the metal charts they send with them but they serve the purpose if you don't make your own.
I'll be going to Foley Alabama this weekend for the ASA tournament so there's usually a decent number of recurve guys around. If I see one on the practice range or if I get the chance I'll for sure try to check some out. I'm really favoring the Toelke or something similar just based on...
So basically the weight in the riser is what makes a recurve forgiving and easier shot? And does the flex in the riser have the same effect on accuracy as it does in a compound?
I picked up a recurve about 3 months ago and really got the fire to change over and start deer hunting with one. Right now I have a Samick Sage just to tinker and learn with and I’m wanting to upgrade and buy a new recurve of some sort.
My issue is I have no idea what I want or even need. I...
Im in Southeast Ky and glass alot of reclaimed coal country. Glassed a group of deer and could clearly define whether they were buck or doe and could get a decent estimate of size at 1.2 miles. Thats measured on my OnX. Throw them on a good tripod and I doubt you’ll miss much. I don’t glass much...
I never liked full size binoculars with a harness in the deer woods either. I picked up a set of Maven 8x30 B3’s with a rick young harness and now I never go to the woods without them.
Only thing with the marsupial is if you use a gps the magnets in the harness will mess with your readings. I Had one and loved it but had to change because I use a garmin in the clear cuts and thick country around the house. Excellent harness no doubt though.
I’ve used my 9x45 B2’s out in Nebraska and never have felt like I needed more binocular than what I had. I think you would be way more happy with a used set of Maven B2’s than anything else close to the price range you’re after. I would save the extra little bit and scan the classifieds often...
I have never felt any eye strain with my Mavens. They seem fantastic. But where I live I dont really have the option to test high end bino’s side by side. I have looked through several different top tier bino’s at national archery tournaments but not in a situation I could throw them on a tripod...
I am pretty prone to motion sickness so I would be worried about the EL's when panning and scanning. I dont have any issues panning with the Mavens. Is this anything to be worried about with the EL's?
I’ve looked through two different sets of EL’s. One set was only a year old and I felt like they were definitely a step above my Mavens where as the others were close to 10 years old. I felt like my Mavens were just as good as the older EL’s though.
I have been seeing the recent sell off of the Swarovski EL’s and has me thinking. I have a set of Maven B2 9x45’s and a set of Maven B3 8x30’s. Thinking about selling both pairs and just picking up a set of Swaro EL’s for a one do it all binocular. Does this make sense for me to do or should I...
Yep just Tasco 8mp and I get mine from walmart or order them from walmart.com. Just make sure to get good sd cards. Class 10 Sandisk 16gb is what I use in mine.
