    I’ve never shot anything but my old wrist release. I do punch it. I’m trying to get over that. What would make a thumb release less likely to punch? More concentration to make the shot?

    Inconsistency day to day

    Anyone else get caffeine shakes ? Morning coffee makes it difficult for me to shoot A rifle. My bow is noticeable but I seem to be able to shake my arrow towards where I’m aiming. A rifle I can’t keep steady well at all.

    I’ve been extremely happy with severs. Two deer with less then desirable shots went less then 50 yards. I know iron wills are popular and work great for a lot people I had a bad experience. I like getting a lot of blood. Sevr does that.

    Unless you’re stuck on razor clams there are bay clams in Tillamook and netarts that don’t dig away from you. Steamers in netarts are excellent and extremely easy to get. Pm me if you want any details lived here my whole life be happy to help.

    Very warm clothing as stated. The wind can be brutal and pretty much null longer shots. I would suggest lots of back up plans too don’t expect to be the only one around.

    Thanks for the info. Rifle hunting the rut in Montana makes me feel like it could prove challenging to make stocks considering how much bucks move. I really don’t know how it would go in snow either. I’ve only made stocks on deer in socks. That would prove very cold I’m fairly sure.
