The Mountain pant was one of my first Sitka gear purchases. Love them. I keep thinking I need the Timberline to compliment them though. Just because. I honestly never felt compromised in any way in just the Mountain.
After the chit Colorado pulled,Idaho and Montana are going to get busy. I'm glad I'm getting too old to climb too many more mountains. It's my daughter I feel sorry for. She isn't going to be able to enjoy western hunting the way my generation did. Unless the whole thing implodes. Too many folks...
OK. Back home in the recliner. Thinking about the pile of gear in the garage. Better take time to tell the tale.
The plan of attack was to drive the BLM roads (yeah, roads), and glass the sage. The evening of the third day my brother in law caught a nice buck and a Doe sneaking along a bank. He...
I hear ya Rommy. Little if any though given to a man's head. You can put a bra cup on there. Beanies are the rage. You can take comfort in the likelihood there is probably a hood or three hanging back there. Everything is a hoodie now too. Saves on r and d in the hat industry. Handy little...
Don't know what to tell you. The scope is already too high in my mind for a good cheek weld. Looks like it to could come down 3/16" anyhow. Only compounding your ejection problem. Mount a 6X Leupold on this rifle and save the S.S. for something more fitting. Not trying to be rude, but that looks...
My smithy buddy isn't real big on the short rear bridge, but it's my rig. They are pretty affordable right now new. Of course Ill shoot the donor,so who knows what might happen there. I'm still on the fence with the whole Creedmoor thing. Since my daughter bought one,I'm warming up to it.
Nice little rig! I gather you are quite happy with the M7. A gunsmith buddy of mine is currently buying a couple 6.5 Creedmoor reamers, and talking me into a project. I've never owned a M7. Kinda like an itch that needs scratched. What would you tell me is the very best thing about the M7? And...
My thoughts as well. I'm currently searching for my ideal "fourth option". I went to Field and Stream Sat. Tried on a few different Sitka pieces, and am more confused than ever. I did discover I want to size up with a couple of the pieces I tried on. This in itself makes ordering this stuff a...
I bow hunted almost exclusively for 15 years. But,back in the day, fleece was king. So not much to add to the modern archer's questions. Now,being a full time gun hunter,I do currently subscribe to the puffy / hard shell school. It goes like this. Next to skin is the core Lt wt hoodie. Next up is...
