I recently picked up a Kryptek Vellus pant for whitetail. The quality seems good. Comfortable as all get out. A little shallow in the crotch, but nothing I can't survive. Waiting for a good deal on the matching jacket.
I had a Remington based long action 284 Winchester. Pretty good format. Fed well and milked all the good from the round. How about building a 6.5 / 284 long action?
If a garment company/dealer can't throw me a bone a couple times a year,Ill find another source/brand. It's safe to say ROK slide members do a world of good for these products. Ill personally drop a grand a year on clothing. Not to mention foot wear. A loyal following like us deserves a little...
Checked out Top Priority on YouTube. Very informative. Thanks for bringing it up. I really love Sitka gear, but want to diversify a bit,and bring in a little variety. The Poseidon rain wear looks like what the Dr ordered. Worn over my Kelvin lite it should give me another option, without adding a...
Thanks for the heads up fellas. I appreciate it. Sounds like the Aegis is better suited to our stand hunting whitetail than the mule deer hunt this fall. I'm headed to check out some of the options you all mentioned.
And applied this year. Gonna be a long couple months till the results come out. Unit 66 Colorado. When I started collecting points, that was the plan. Going to follow through with it. Two blizzards and a good portion of my life later, and I might just draw. A friend of mine guided the unit years...
I was anti hood for years. Still am with outer garments. Debris and water catchers unless they are up,then they compromise my hearing. But! Then I tried the core lightweight hoodie. Flat love this garment. I'm needing the heavyweight next. The hood doesn't compromise the hearing all that...
I told the brother in law I just might as well wear Carheart bibs. I'm with you loggerchas. I don't fare well if my neck is cold. I always have a neck gaiter in the pack. Hands too. I hate mittens. But my insulated elk skin jobbies are the cheese. Wear them plowing snow with the quad.
Hey folks. I need a little advise. I threw my hat in the ring and applied for my Colorado deer tag. (The last week of October) Here is my quandary. I've got my clothing layers pretty well dialed in,but. This hunt may include a daily pre dawn atv ride in some COLD conditions. I'm thinking some...
Will Colorado take your preference points with a second choice draw? I've never applied for a second choice unit. Our elk hunts have always been first choice. I'm looking to apply to unit 66 for deer, and would consider a plan "B". Just curious about the preference points.
What happened to my beloved Rem oil! I picked up a new pump spray bottle of it Sat. It wasn't the usual light mist the last bottle was. Now,it's very heavy. Won't atomize for carp with the pump spray bottle. Rolls off a patch. I liked the thin spritz of the old bottle. A pump or two on a patch...
Pretty interesting. I've been thinking about a knock around 22/250. Might need to take a look at these. Looked at the Ruger American, and TC Venture. Not wild about either. The brother in law bought a TC,still waiting for a turn behind the trigger. How horrible is the trigger on these XPRs ?
