Kryptek has/had many different vests. I have one of their cadog vests with the high pile fleece lining and soft shell face fabric. It's very wind proof. Not overly bulky and quite comfortable. Not very suited for anything above freezing for me unless it's just that and a base layer going up hill.
I've got a couple buddies that are diesel techs for Ford. I've heard allllll the horror stories but the only thing they've ever mentioned was something to do with the skirts on the pistons, never looked into it but aftermarket pistons apparently make them bullet proof. Pretty costly job though.
We have people do this constantly... It gets a bit annoying. Guys hear the oil field money up north in alberta is amazing but they don't realize how scabby some of the employers can be with many aspects of the job and theyre back two weeks later saying, "I shoulda just stayed". Grass might look...
The k4 carbon fibre stays can be replaced with aluminum and curved/contoured to your fit? The lumbar pad is pretty sweet, firm but comfortable and grippy
Anyone know the availability of suspension parts for the Honda and kawi 230 size bikes? I don't believe there's as much support for bikes like that but could be wrong. Having the suspension set up for your size/weight/application can make an okay bike great. My buddy and I have the same ktm...
Man if that sucker goes down and you have to pedal... I used to ride an old downhill mountain bike and boy was that thing heavy on any uphill section. It weighed 40+ lbs IIRC and it had a granny gear up front to "lighten the load"
My boss and I built a mobile backstop at the shop, it's four, 4x8 sheets, 8 inches thick polystyreen in a frame on a platform with castors. 16ft wide, 8ft high. He also hung stall mats down the back of the sheets just in case but you don't need them but good insurance. Boss and I both need "the...
One would probably need 90 rounds for three groups, each one at polar opposite of seating depth ranges, correct? Start with a "consistenly small grouping" load that's somewhere in the middle of the seating depth range and one on either side? Would you shoot round Robin at three targets or all 30...
I have a set, I like them, don't do any bush wacking in them, just sitting and glassing. They're synthetic fill and have a more durable fabric on the knees and seat. They do a good job for me, they don't come with a stuff sack but are decently packable. Will probably make a stuff sack for them...
I would look into a ktm/husaberg/husqvarna Trail bike, like a 300xc 2 stroke or 350/450 4 stroke. They are amazing Trail bikes without the learning curve of an extra long first gear like most race track inspired bikes have.
