I think the addition of the green was to satisfy all those who were clamoring for it. But the "verde" pattern has less contrast, which he agreed works better in timbered or heavily forested environments.
That bedding area would be a nightmare to try and stalk through. Thick nasty little jungle, plus it sounds like you're literally walking on egg shells.
I've dealt with it in the past. I have a herniation at L5. It's not really bad but if my back is out of alignment by even the smallest amount it causes pain. I would take it easy and go to the doc to get an oral steroid. That will knock out the inflammation. Then line up a reputable...
Good luck with the hunt. Just goes to show how elusive a big buck can be. You'll have been glassing that same country for a few days now and finally got a look at the big ones only to have them disappear again!
I would go with a flat tarp, or a Super Tarp from Kifaru. I have an SL2. It's plenty big for one, but the rear pole is inset into the tent and it's kind of in the way. Plus you're stuck with a tent pitch. Even though the SL2 can be pitched high I'm not sure that'd be enough to dry things out...
If you have that many and expect more go for it. I'm assuming you have the space to work. Jump on taxi.net and look in the skulls section and look up bug box or dermestids to get an idea for an enclosure. If you have some smaller skulls (bobcat, fox, coyote) start with a smaller colony and...
How many skulls do you have to do? It may not be cost effective. You'll spend right at a grand for an established colony capable of cleaning a skull in a timely manner. Which would be 2-3 days. Smaller colonies work but at a much slower pace which present problems. Smell becomes an issue...
