We did a Colorado tent hunt 1st season back in 2017. We went with a guide, doing it on your own would be pretty difficult I think. Obviously its not impossible but there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes to have a comfortable camp...they used propane everything to get away from needing to...
Im looking to purchase a Sitka Kelvin Down WS hoody XL and a pair of Timberline pant either 35R or 36R in Opti fade open country or would consider lead in the pants. Let me know what you have
If I could get two pieces of Sitka gear and cheap out on everything else I would choose the Sitka down WS jacket and the Sitka timberline pants. Those two pieces could get me through about anything and the rest of the stuff you can get similar pieces for a lot less else where. The WS jacket was...
Not sure if you score them the same as a whitetail but he’s not gonna get a lot from mass. A few tines have some length to them but there are deductions. Sometimes putting tape to a deer disappoints. I’d say after deductions 120’s
On average the hunting license is the least of the worry for a non resident hunter. When you add in the price of a guide (if you use one), the cost to get there and back as well as the cost to process and get the meat back to you the overvall cost of license and draw fees are a drop in the bucket
This is a very nice buck. Sometimes nice bucks do not score really high and it’s hard to score based off pictures. With that said the mass looks really good but the time lengths appear to be lacking. I’d say maybe max 130 like others have said. Putting tape to it could surprise us though
Like others said low odds on drawing but if you do your odds of getting a chance at a very respectable bull is high. Not saying it’s a slam dunk but if you draw and put in the effort your tag shouldn’t go empty
Yes it did but my fear is if it didn’t, without a pass through would I have found him? There was little to no blood at the kill site even though it took him some time to expire.
Just wondering what others have experienced with other rounds.
