What about broadmouth canyon in UT and ID or triple H outfitters in UT and NV?
Just looking at some guaranteed landowner tag outfitters which seem to have some good track records for big bulls
If i didnt already own a pair of kuiu zippoffs and SG helio bottoms i would be all over the helio zipoffs.
I love my helio set.
I will say the zip off design on the new helios appears well thought out.
Lots of SG clothing that is tempting me bad right now. Maybe i need to cull the herd so i...
Not gonna lie, i really really like my helio set, and the zip off helio bottoms may make their way to my cart.
Curious about the cirque vest and or cirque lite. Already have the ambient hoody and jacket and love those. Not sure i need another active mid/outer.
Dang it, why do these...
I fond the a is pants and the attacks to be “too loud” for my taste when bow hunting WT deer. Ymmv depending on ambient noise, typical wond conditions etc.
When the wind is above 10mph these pants are fine for bow hunting. but if it is relatively calm or just a light breeze, a slight shift in...
I judged those numbers based on driving in a kawasaki mule with the windshield up and varying the speed multiple trials to see when the wind started cutting thru the material while i was wearing it. I found absolute “yes wind is getting thru” to be at 14mph on the speedometer, and between...
I have mentioned this before, maybe in this thread, maybe a different one, but my testing showed wind resistance for the ambient line to he somewhere between 12-13 mph wind. Above that and it will start to bleed wind through it. Below that and it was resistant to wind.
It is a great piece...
How does this jacket pack down or compress vs say the super down or super down pro?
Or given the concept do
You think it would not be packed, it would be worn?
this thread, and most others, are a prime example of why there are different options.
So many different opinions about what works best for each person.
The merino undies have been good to me so far, and i have found they are more comfortable the next day than the first day. I thought they did a great job masking stank when i worked out.
I bought quite a bit of merino undies this year and have found them to be very comfy for my needs. I have...
The satu pants are pretty good. Have not put them through their paces yet, but wearing them a couple of time i do like them. They are a heavier mateiral than the sitka territory pants and the kuiu switchback pants and that means i usually grab the latter rather than the former, but honestly...
I find the ambient hoody as warm as the celcius midi and fit is similar comfort-wise but less bulky. The jacket is a great piece as well but without the hood, heavier weight but still less bulk than the midi jacket.
I really would like to hear how loud the bibs are on seat material….do these make a lot of noise when you are slouching and push yourself up. I really need something a little thicker than fhe stratus bibs but not as heavy as the fanatic set.
Also, these have room for layers under correct?
Second the ambient jacket. Great mid layer or a stand alone outer for open country. Wouldn’t bust brush with it.
But it is a very warm mid with an outer and breathes well, so temp regulation is reaoly good.
I wore my ambient jacket today with a base layer and a stratus jacket over top in high 20’s weather, and was perfectly comfortable: up top. My feet and hands gave out way before my core did.
Really like this line. Couple of mods i would make but the hoody and jacket are money for my uses.
Sorry, i couldnt resist….
@robby denning i hope you got a good tasty elk no matter the size or shape or antler/less part of its head.
Remember, in this day and age, you can call an animal whatever you want. Heck i shot an bull elk this weekend but it was too stinky to clean. I can send...
