I shoot fairly similar minus the pressure on the grip. My trigger hand basically lays alongside the stock. Really no contact beside pulling the trigger. I had just been getting some high impacts with my bigger magnums and realised I was applying extra check weld pressure. Played around with it...
Ive looked around on here but havent found much. Hopefully I didnt miss it. Hate double posting..
Anyways, playing around with my shooting techniques. Trying to find the best and most consistent ways for me.
Curious to what people do for cheek pressure? Do ya lay on it? Free float? Light? Etc...
If I'm thinking of the same video your talking about that's the v8 atlas. The v8 had a lot of slop in it that let you load it differently. The PSR and CAL dont. Opinions vary on this. I shoot the CAL as my main bipod. I dont feel the fore/aft movement in the v8 is necessary
I have 2 broken vortex scopes in the safe. Both have been there for over 2 years. Havent bothered to send them back as I know I will never use them again.
Really do your research on narrowing down what you want and your expectations. There's so much to consider. $ you are willing to spend. Ranges you want to shoot at both animals and targets. Type of animals you intend to hunt. What cal, bullet, speed, recoil, rifle weight, style of stock, barrel...
Thanks guys for the info and pics! Only makes me want one even more. I REALLY like the adjustable game warden. Or maybe one of their other fixed ones like the A3. Decisions....
Great info! I was hoping you would chime in as well. Knew you've been running a few. Glad you like them. I told myself my next build would have an adjustable and I think that's why I'm struggling to dive in on this one. The rest of this rifle is spot on when it comes to what I want. I just dont...
Proof sendero. I'm not completely sold on the stock which is my only hangup. This rifle would see A LOT of range time. So I want it to be an easy shooter for many people.
I'm considering picking up a new rifle that would have this stock. My 2 current LR setups both have AG hunter stocks which I really like. Ive looked around trying to find opinions but havent found as much info as I hoped. Not sure if I would really like this style with the monte Carlo etc. Would...
Ive had the meoptas for a couple years. I dont leave without them. One of my best purchases. Picked them up from Doug at cameraland for a great price. Ive only been behind big swaro's a couple times. Yes they are amazing but for the price meopta are hard to beat.
If you must have the pan feature I would personally look at the atlas psr if it's available. I'm running the atlas CAL as my main bipod. I wont lie, I absolutely dont miss the pan feature. Ive had zero issues tracking an target and your rifle and bipod are always square for perfect straight...
What makes you want the bt10? Personally I would go CAL or PSR. I like the CAL but I don't feel the need or want for pan. If you like that feature then go PSR. The bt10 is the v8 if I remember right. It has rotating legs which can be a pain for preparing on certain surfaces.
I started a thread on it a little while ago so maybe wont get a ton of repeat replys... Here's the link if your curious to what people said.

I'm running the atlas CAL gen2. With hawk hill talon spike feet. Really really like it. Ive been around pretty much every atlas. Very similar to modular evolution. I like that one as well. A very very close 2nd for me. Ive only used my buddies for a short time. Maybe it would be #1 if i had more...
We have 4 rifles from them. Love everyone of them! Great people as well! Was planning another build but found out one of our pups has cancer a couple days ago and my rifle fund will be going to him.
It is a cool looking rifle but for that price I would probably build one... Which really is the route I may go. I like the MPR but christensen horror stories sometimes scare me. May just get a 700 clone, proof or HCA carbon barrel and have a XLR chassis thrown together. Still interested to here...
I couldnt agree more. I want it to be usable in the backcountry. Majority of my hunting is hells canyon area of E. Oregon with some outa state thats similar. The steeper and deeper the better! It would see lots of range time but for me to justify spending the money on a entirely new setup I want...
