13.5lbs mountain gun oooooof. be no way you'd catch me lugging that up a mountain chasing sheep.
Also, a Kahles would not be what I would consider durable. Been there done that…twice…
Anyways my custom sits at 8lbs 4oz with 3 in the mag and 6 spare shells on the stock.
haven't hunted in the Yukon but live and hunt sheep/ goats in northern BC. September can either be +25*C or -5*C and snowing.
I use uninsulated kennetreks all year. only time I personally get cold feet in them is -30*C in November white tail hunting. I think you'll be fine with uninsulated...
