You must not have watched "Forensic Files" like was mentioned they can compare the cases found with one fired from the rifle in question and compare all the unique marks from each and make a positive ID. Lot's of guys have been convicted that way.

Wild TV In Canada coming out with a strong statement has taken down all their videos from their channel. Glad to see them doing the right thing quickly. Their statement quoted below.
"Today, along with the rest of the Canadian hunting community, we were deeply...
Just did so we'll see how long they stay up.
You would think that after such blatant poaching (sounds like at least 6 different incidents) they would never show their face on social media again. Then again poachers don't have any sense of shame either so it's not surprising.
Lots to like here and I have learned quite a bit about bullet performance and scopes.
Not going to lie though the 223 for hunting grizzly is definitely cultish. It can work but is incredibly stupid to attempt something like that. Eventually it's going to go very bad.
I like Echo and St Croix rods and have had lots of success with them over the years. They have proven durable too which the higher dollar rods usually aren't. 4 piece rods are definitely the way to go.
Someone mentioned the Lamson Liquid earlier, I have used one for a few years now for salmon...
Pretty impressive results for the last 3 years. Looks like the 175 gr TGK does well on game of all sizes. Shouldn't 1"@ 200 yards be 1/2 MOA?
I should try H4831 sc as well. Going to confirm the 175 gr TGK 61 gr MagPro load next time out but it looks good. Seems like a really easy bullet to get...
The only difference in reloading the 6.8 Western (and any other short magnum for that matter) is you need to fully resize the case compared to older rounds like the 270 Wby where you can often partial resize. Everything else is exactly the same once your dies are properly set up.
I have 270...
Thanks I didn't mention it but I'm in Canada, I'm sure someone else will jump on that info though! Looks like guys are doing well with Retumbo in the 6.8 Western with excellent accuracy and speed. I just loaded up a ladder with it and the 170 gr Ballistic Tip. Will report back when I'm done...
I've got some good results so far with 61 gr MagPro and the 175 gr Sierra TGK, that's the max load in my rifle before pressure signs show up. Finalizing a load with Magnum and the 170 gr Ballistic Tip.
Anyone work with Staball HD yet? Thinking of ordering some in since it's supposed to be...
The 9.3x62 has the cool factor off the charts!. I have a 35 Whelen too but always loved what the 9.3x62 offers and think it's an amazing cartridge. You mentioned a Limbsaver, I bet that helps a lot with such a light gun.
Thanks for the info, glad your Tikka turned out so well. Mine's built on a LH Rem 700 but would likely do it on a Tikka these days. Not disappointed in the 700 though, it's been a good gun.
I really like IMR 8208 in my standard chamber with 200's and am going to go back to it for 225's most...
Between the red and green illumination is there a good reason to pick one over the other or is it just personal preference? Thinking of the green mil version. Not sure I like the reticle, seems kind of thin when not illuminated and considering the Huron even though it's not illuminated.
I've said it before but I think the 300 WSM is the best out of all the 300's for most people. Easy to load it like a 30-06 or load it full power. Glad that Lapua is jumping on board with good brass.
I would be interested in finding out more about the Speer Impact too, seems like it would be a really good bullet. The Sierra's are well thought of around here.
