After striking out with the Bow I found first day success with the rifle! The picture doesn't show it as we were in the lee of the hill but the winds blew 30-50mph for the 5 days we were out hunting. It was rough but we got it done.
It's just reeducation! I reeducated once a year or so when I get lax and don't focus on form, typically happens when I'm talking to someone while shooting. But it only takes once (per year)!
Yea I'm quite a bit more concerned with the behind the scenes economic warfare being carried out. Russia and china continue to cozy up really nice to each other, stockpile gold and precious metals, while also wanting to see our demise.
Then the you see Biden's attack on advanced chip...
To echo what others have said, if he just wants to bugle in a bull and get the experience I would do the following.
1. Throw some money at applying in NM and WY. Pick trophy units so if you hit the 1 in 5000 odds you know you'll have a good hunt. Also look at these trophy units and pick...
Shit lose an arrow. . . My buddy lost a whole quiver on the last day of a hunt coming down the mountain in the dark. Had his bow strapped to his pack and after descending about 1100 feet through some thick nasty stuff we took a break. He turned and I asked him where his quiver was, his reply...
Never intentionally walk in front of them if I know they are there. But if I don't realize it until I'm in front of it I typically take a moment to strike a pose. My buddy, brother and I posted for one in Wyoming several years back. So if anyone has a pic of 3 jackasses posing in front of your...
Yes,
I'd check areas with good cover near water. Try north facing early October but possibly south facing later in the month if it gets cold and snowy.
Try to focus on areas away from pressure, that have good feed.
If your work ethic and want to are as solid as your snotty attitude you...
No, I don't randomly kill people's pets. But primarily where I hunt if there is a cat roaming away from a house it's a feral cat and need killed. 0 complaints from land owners as most of the time they are feral toms that roam from farmstead to farmstead breeding other cats. I wouldn't shoot...
Elk heart chili, first year truck camping in a long time but we have an old traditions of making heart chilli any time we can the night we kill something. Along with some celebratory beverages of course!
Second best is a family hunting camp staple we call Goop. Brown hamburger with some onion...
I mean obviously. . . Everyone knows WKR's aren't afraid go deep to steal a BOAL!
Not like you can just steal one at the trail head, too many potential witnesses!
To be fair I consider any cat farther than 100 yards from a house to be feral and dispatch accordingly. House cats/feral cats are incredibly hard on bird populations. I just don't post any ditch tiger glory shots on social media afterwards!
Hope they find something to give the family closure. This is another reason my inreach is always on me and always on. If nothing else it should help my family have some closure in locating my remains should tragedy strike.
First purchase was what 5.99 or something like that? I literally gained more value than that in the first 5 minutes I had the app and I'm not the brightest.
At full price Paul is asking you pay the prices of about 4 gallons of gas! Or 2 elk reeds, or 1 arrow, so on an so forth. Awesome guy...
I'm semi allergic to the sun (I'll sun burn right over a good tan) so it's always long sleeves.
Chance of warming up above 60 I'll wear my black ovis 250 merino 1/4 zip hoodie. Lots of time it's my only layer on mid day or maybe a Tshirt under it, if it's warm. If it's cold but going to warm...
Sounds like some of you boys need to head on over to this thread and do some reading up!

And get your appointment scheduled. Just make sure you schedule it in the same year that last kid is born to cash in for free after hitting that...
I always hunt with the same buddy and my "aha" moment was a few years ago. We went up the mountain from the trail head with 2 days of food because it was a small drainage and we figured we would blow them out or kill one within a couple of days. We started rationing at lunch on day two. . ...
