Haven’t been to Kenya but have worked oil and gas all over the Middle East. Those real LCs are everywhere! I’m flying to Argentina tomorrow for work. No LCs down there because the country has too many economic issues (but the new President is fixing those problems finally!!).
There are tons...
Agree with this comment. I go to Saudi for work and there are “real” LCs still for sale over there. They are everywhere. I wish we could get them here without the Lexus markup. The new LC being marketed in America definitely seems like something different all together.
Excellent feedback and much appreciated.
There's a lot of little items and suggestions here that really make Rokslide valuable. @DBMR and @Kyle Hamilton 's comments on taking a WFR course is definitely something that I've been considering that would be valuable not only in AK but everywhere...
There’s a great thread currently over in the General Discussion page on “putting some thought into your first aid kit“. That thread got me thinking about my upcoming AK Dall hunt and updating my own first aid kit organization.
With that in mind, what are your kit must-haves on a sheep hunt...
Your estimates look pretty good. It cost around $3k to get my salted hide and non-split skull and horns back. My dad’s split horns also were able to fit in the crate which helped save some cost. There seemed to be a lot of little fees beyond just the air freight and crating that added up...
Going back to OP’s original request for advice on helpful market commentary sources, here’s a few I’ve followed for past several years with success researching solid companies to invest in that have provided strong long term returns:
1. Wall Street Journal’s “Heard on the Street” columns taught...
I can share my experience last summer with my Trijicon 1-4x24 Credo.
It developed an issue where the reticle started rotating clockwise about 45 degrees every time I pulled the trigger on the AR I had it mounted on. I called Trijicon and explained the issue. They immediately sent me a UPS...
Following for my upcoming hunt in AK. Have used Forloh very successfully in typical really wet/cold duck hunting weather as well as pouring rain while stag hunting in NZ but hearing a lot of advice for more rubberized option like HH for heavy Alaska rain as well as holding up to vegetation when...
Selling Kelty Coyote 4750 pack with lid. Has been a good pack for mountain hiking but need to upgrade to something that I can haul an animal out with. (This has never seen blood or been used for packing out an animal.)
$80 TYD in lower 48.
Did you end up getting this bag? I spend a lot of time in Alberta for work and have always found Canadian manufacturing and engineering to be top notch.
I've been looking at SG, Kifaru and WM options for my upcoming Alaska sheep hunt but this company is now on my radar. Also still debating...
@ForlohFamily did you ever get the reviews and videos completed? The video on the website only shows someone inside and not outdoors packing an animal.
I was at Houston Safari Club show earlier this afternoon and was hoping you'd have the pack in the booth to try out but unfortunately I was...
No problem at all. We made similar decision at my small company a while back for industry conferences and I definitely understand.
The 30 day trial is a great option I must have missed. I’ll definitely take advantage of that option if I get my Alaska trip locked down. Thanks again!
Update… I ended up with Tricer and really like it so far. The end-of-year special that Maven had it priced at as part of their S1 Spotting Scope Bundle made it a really good overall option for me.
Hi @Mark at EXO any chance you or another rep might be at Dallas or Houston Safari Club shows coming up in next couple of weeks? Would be great to see / try on K4 in person before making decision on new pack. Also wanting to buy a “Made in America” pack and K4 looks like good potential option.
Just drove through Conifer and Bailey this afternoon on the way back to airport after visiting family for Christmas in Alma. If you’re living out there, you can skip 70 completely and take 285 and sneak in the back way up 9 into Breck, Keystone and A Basin for skiing. As a bonus, you might see...
