I know it is, I just don’t have one and finding an old one for a price that’s worth doing now is getting hard when a tikka with a brand new barrel is 750$
I’ll come across one for a steal eventually and snag it.
Also, I can’t wait to see more pics of that, I think that’s what would get me to...
i don’t personally really get the draw for a m70 build over a tikka unless you have one sitting around, but I would probably change my mind for a m70 in a walnut rokstok.
Carbon, meh, and carbon without texturing na
Grip to trigger on the eh1 is good, rok is slightly better. Eh1 butt height is good, rok is better.
Grip on eh1 is good, but a little thick, apparent when you hold the rok.more neutral, no lateral pressure or wanting to turn your hand in. The clearance is something I’ve never really felt, it’s...
The grip on the rokstok alone is well more than enough that I’d pick it.
I’m still waiting to actually shoot mine but I’m about ready to list my eh1 just from dry firing and larping around my house with the rok
Tbh I bought a DD lti when I couldn’t find a scythe in stock and while it’s awesome I wouldn’t mind cutting the weight 2-3 more ounces even. I’d go scythe
240k on my 2011 5.0 it’s needed a couple things, a coolant coupling leaked around 120k, eve purge valve (40$ and 10 min) around 215k radio messed up.
I’ve driven this thing hard as snot, when the coolant leaked it was hot as can be on the way to the mechanic, I couldn’t believe it survived...
The grip shape and texturing is really, really nice in the hand, and the forend feels really good holding it offhand. Impressed so far
Yeah hell yeah as I keep messing with it I’m liking it a lot. Especially how it sits prone
fwiw my credo has an exposed turret with a zero stop and a SFP mrad reticle with 1/4 mil holds.
So it did come off as confusing to me when OP kept saying I couldn’t do it with a SFP scope, I did however figure out what he meant pretty quickly and understand the point of why OP avoids this combo...
31 is fine for me, will still cut almost a half a pound frm my eh1 (37.5). I’ll take an extra couple ounces for flush cups a pic rail and a better sounding stock that’s not as hollow and tinny when I hit it on stuff.
People want it to weigh nothing, be strapped to the gills with accessories and...
I’m shooting the 130 tmk from a 16” tikka. My reasoning is as follows.
140 class bullets are like 2430ish and I’d imagine the 147s are a bit slower so that pushed me toward the 130 class.
130 bergers are supposedly good killers but need to be kept at 2k plus, 130eldm are supposedly a bit...
