    Truck Suspension Upgrade

The ride quality on the 2.5” remote resi shocks is noticeably better. Whether or not it’s worth the extra cash is debatable, but ive ridden in a few trucks with the 2.5” remote shocks, both fox and icon on Toyotas and half ton chevys and it’s a very nice ride. Better than the bilstien...

    Truck Suspension Upgrade

I have the bilstien 6112/5160 on my 17’ Tundra. It’s good, but my buddy has Fox remote reservoir on his Tacoma and it’s in a completely different league. Bilstien handles off-road. The Fox suspension makes it fun and is a way more plush ride.

    Remote Job for Wife

One of my wife’s friends has a payroll company and my wife started helping her out. Mostly as a favor because business is very good right now. She does it in the evenings once the kids go to bed with a glass of wine.

    Suggestions for broken Euro

Easy solution would be to just cap it. Or you could try to put it back together with epoxy.

    Wyoming antelope access question

I have hunted antelope and fished the same trip. Not via boat. Did it with my dad and the fishing rivaled the hunting. There are quite a few public antelope and mule deer spots I’ve looked at on OnX that could be accessed via drift boat or big inflatable. Would definitely be a fun trip and a...

Looking For Suggestions - (Elk) Mountain Rifle Build Shooting Copper

This. The factory 129lrx stuff is almost more available now days and a better bullet. I’d steer clear of the 308. Muzzle velocity of 3000fps is what you are looking for and you ain’t going to get it with any of the factory offerings in 308.

    Murse

He said he wears sweats and tank tops every single day. I’m guessing he probably also has the cargo shorts covered.

    Reloading scale that doesn’t suck?

Thanks for all of the info and replies. I asked this because I had purchased a new batch of brass and was going to drop down and re-check existing loads. I ended up just rolling with my existing scale and getting the same good results, so decided that, despite some of the frustration I see in...

Convince me to spend more $ on a scope

A scope is one of the things that can make or break a hunt. It’s literally the thing that allows you to hit what you are aiming at. Reliability greatly lessens the chances of wounding or missing an animal. A reliable optic that does what you want it to do also makes shooting a hell of a lot...

anyone have field experience with the Spartan Davros pro head for glassing and shooting?

I’ve been using this setup for a few months now. Have not hunted with it extensively. Just off season pig hunting. I have shot off of it at the range. Glassing is decent. I’ve only run a set of 10x binos on mine so far with the Spartan bino adapter. Shooting has been good as well. There...

    Any Sauer rifle users here?

I’ve got a Sauer 100 in 270. Very accurate, great trigger, flush dbm. One of the better factory synthetic stocks in terms of rigidity and geometry. I like them.

Glad you wrote this so I know it’s not just us Californians who are morally bankrupt. You should move here. You’d fit right in.

    Twist rate copper bullets

168gr is the one that opens up at lower velocity in 30cal versus the 165. Ft/lbs is not what you should be concerned with. Velocity on impact is what’s important. Speed will open them up, create the larger frontal diameter, and creates a better wound channel. 2200fps is a safe, somewhat...

    Twist rate copper bullets

The considerations aren’t really different. It’s just that a bullet will be longer for a given weight, so you’ll bump up against instability faster if using cooper AND you are trying to load the sleekest, highest BC copper bullets. The vast majority of copper bullets were designed to work...

Backpack chassis gun. Hawkins rings don’t fit. Next best option?

Two piece pic bases and a quality ring. Those nightforce with the 5.1” mounting space can be tricky and even with a rail the width of the ring matters. The Warne mountain techs are a little narrower width and have proven reliable on the two guns I have them on.

Yes, I should have said that. 270win. A side by side comparison would be great.

Non lead bullets and performance at distance

I don’t disagree with you. Lead is better for shooting animals at long distances. I also agree that 600 is a pretty long ways, and I don’t take shots at game at 600, but do practice that far, and consistently hitting 12” steel has not proven to be extremely difficult. 500 is about where I...

Non lead bullets and performance at distance

If you have a cartridge that achieves the necessary speed, the Barnes LRX are fine at 500 yards and in. Some of the smaller mfg’s like McGuire offer bullets that will safely take you to 600+ yards and still be going fast enough to safely open up. As far as hit rates at distance….are they they...
