@Macintosh Thread derail... but the fleece I'm referring to is something like a classic Polartec 200. To me the fabric is quieter, more comfortable, and less shiny. I understand why grid fleece should be warmer per weight, I'm just not sure I've ever noticed. I still have all the fancy brands...
I met some NWT guides that lived in their Kuiu Guide jackets. They wore it like I would wear a midlayer fleece. They loved them. More durable I guess and they weren't ounce counting.
Do you guys really see a benefit of grid fleece over old school soft fleece? I never have. I still own some grid...
This.
I hunt SE Kansas from a tree. So probably not far from OP. If you can only own one Sitka piece for bowhunting, buy the Fanatic vest. I would wait until the Sept. 9th for the new gear drop. You may be able to get EVII on-sale or buy the new pattern.
I do own the Stratus jacket. It's not...
Trouble free zeroing. It only took 0.3 mil up going from factory to Rokstok. I haven't shot in a while as I'm archery focused near term, so there could be form inconsistency there.
I couldn't use my ear muffs with the new stock. I had to squeeze in those orange ear plugs. Is this common? Maybe...
Shipping notification! Tikka, #3, spartan.
12/21 order. 12/29 paint change (yep, one of those guys).
I was never in a hurry. All good vibes. Excited to see it in person. Maybe even shoot.
Gotcha. Thread derail, but I'm assuming the new NF owners didn't know. No need to respond to this. I can look it up myself.
I still hope to pickup the RS1.2. I'll sign up for the emails, maybe that will help next time.
I don't understand this reference and certainly wasn't trying to stir up controversy or drama. As a business owner, I have no issue with Maven or their forecasting. I was only adding to the conversation. I also like my Nightforce and Trijicon scopes. I post on Rokslide. I don't follow other...
Same. I read somewhere, likely this forum, that Nightforce may be discontinuing the NXS line and announcing a replacement at SHOT. Maybe we will get a true unicorn for 2025 hunts.
I'm starting to think Nightforce will offer a better reticle option before I get my hands on an RS1.2. And honestly, I've never had a problem hunting with the Mil-R.
I believe that has already started.
99% of my usage with the SLC 15 is on a tripod in my living room looking at cattle and coyotes. I'm telling myself I really don't the upgrade!
