    8 man tipi question

has anyone used the cabelas 2XL disc o bed cots in a tipi? they are 87.5"L x 45"W. Just wondering if two of these would fit with a stove in an 8 man (SO or Kifaru) or if they would be too large. Got a set a couple years ago for Christmas when I was going to buy a wall tent, but after reading...

Are paper maps a dying breed??

Those sound similar to the map books I bought last year from sportsmans connection maps. I have one of their fishing maps as well. Really nice books to have for your state if they offer them. They don't have any western states yet though, but many more state options now than they had when I...

How much are you reasonably willing to spend on hunting each year?

$3K or so most years but I it will likely go up now that I have enough vacation time and extra money to hunt the western states!

Are paper maps a dying breed??

Here in the Midwest there are map books available to cover large areas. I keep these in my truck all the time, they are very handy. I love paper maps. You can print maps from USGS but it takes a bit of time to do. (zoom, print, tape together etc.) https://viewer.nationalmap.gov/advanced-viewer/...

I use these for fishing, work great and they are always right where you need them. https://www.orvis.com/p/flip-focal/1269 these look similar and maybe more robust. https://www.hookandbullet.com/gear/fly-fishing-accessories/hat-eyes-clip--magnifier/ Not sure if it would cause a reflection...

Looking for some help to identify a couple of units that would be good for a 5-6 day spot and stalk hunt this spring (probably Memorial day - early June timeframe) so I can contact the area biologist, FW&G warden and order some topo maps of the areas. I am hoping to use my bow but will also...
