    CPW screwing Residents yet again….

It was, cpw set it up to get the answer they wanted. If 80/20 across the board had been an option (as it should have been) it would have overwhelmingly been supported over status quo.

Done. Please jump in folks. The Governor and his friends are trying to take Colorado wildlife management the way of California.

    Any Engineers on Here

We don't hire those types in my group. I've had the opposite experience with most of the young engineers I've hired.

Mechanical in O&G, love it. Challenging, fast paced, high potential for advancement.

    how many trips?

Not trying to argue, just trying to save some mid westerner some pain and misery when they are (hopefully) successful. (y)

    how many trips?

I think it really depends on where you are and what the terrain is like. Colorado has huge bodied bucks: "Adult bucks normally weigh 121–331 lb, averaging around 203 lb" If you are in relatively decent shape and come to Colorado and kill a big, old high country buck in September at 12,000'...

Nevada FCFS tags resident only starting 2023

Your thread title is a little misleading. Just resident tags go to residents and vice versa. Makes sense to me.

You like your truck camper shell for Hunting?

First season with my topper. Love it. Only drawback is it's a little tougher to load things in but really that's pretty minor. I love my sliding/opening side windows too. I use it as a dry, comfortable, warm base camp and spike out from there with the backpacking gear. It also keeps my dog...

    Gunnison CPW Meeting

I think the ag producers, outfitters, and wildlife conservation groups did a great job of using science based facts and not emotion to provide input on the plan. They also outnumbered the wolf advocates significantly. Let's make sure we show up for the Denver meeting. I'd guess it will be a...

Hand signals and mouth call signals

We use trekking poles with game bags on them. Place them in the direction from the spotter that the animal is from the stalker.

    Trophy goose hunt

Over the break I found a goose that stood out from all the others (about 60 birds). Setup on them the next day and landed all of them then picked out the banded one. He had flown about 400 miles from Utah to Colorado!

CO Mule deer hunt rec's for guide?

I’ve never hunted with them, but I’ve fished with Jerad and Brylan Cotten from West Elk Outfitters. They are great people and offer what you’re looking for.

    how many trips?

I packed my 2022 Colorado buck bone in down a steep, nasty avalanche chute with all my day hunt gear (spotter/tripod/food/etc) for about 750 yards in one trip to beat a thunderstorm to tree line. Granted, I'm in my 40's but I felt like I was on the verge of being unsafe and possibly blowing out...

Decision is IN!! Shoulder Mount or Euro Mount?

Euro and have the cape tanned/wet frozen incase she changes her mind in the future. That is a beautiful buck, especially for a first!

    how many trips?

Agree. I'm a fan of the leap-frog meat shuttling. I drop the bones the majority of the time though.

    how many trips?

Two for sure if you're going any distance and hunting big mature muleys. They can have huge bodies.
