WTS Kowa TSN-553 - I bought it new from S&S a couple years ago. Great piece of glass and one of my favorite things to take hunting. Glass is in perfect condition as well as the body. Always had a neoprene sleeve on it and eye covers. Black 125 edition. Also comes with the Aziak adapter to allow...
Which one did you buy? I just saw this one…

Is it any good?
In one of my 280AI I shoot 160ABs (2850fps with 4831SC). But my custom shoots the 175 Berger Elite Hunters (2890fps with H1000). I’ve got some desire to try and build up a load for the 175 ELDX mostly because they are cheap and can be found. The other two are tough to find and quite spendy for...
I have both and built both to be almost identical. The recoil is noticeable, but only because I’m paying attention to it. The 6CM is pretty weak, but the 6ARC is even less.
It’s actually just the stock 20” barrel. The suppressor though is an “over the barrel” suppressor so it makes it seem short.
Per my Garmin, I’m getting average of 2635 from 108 ELD-M factory ammo.

This is what I settled on. Perfect? No. Affordable and pretty darn good? Yes. Pretty happy with it.
I had the same debate. Went with the Howa mini with a steel barrel from Brownells, put it in a stockys VG2. Put a Credo HX 2.5-15x42 and a suppressor on the end. All in for right about $1500. With 5 bullets and ready to roll it weighs 8 pounds 7 ounces. With factory ammo it’s right at 1 MOA on a...
I agree that this scope was intended for “shoooting people/targets” and not animals, but as others have mentioned, I’m trying to make the best with what is available. I was hoping this was it. But the more I research it, for MY hunting purposes I just don’t thing this is the scope for me. The...
This is the exact dilemma I’m in. Same exact scope. And same issues I have. Eye relief is rough at highest power and I really am so used to dialing for distance with all of my other scopes the swfa always leaves me wanting that. But 11 ounces is a big loss when trying to stay uberlite.
And then...
Thanks for the precise weights. It seems like the 42 is probably the best “value”. Only 3oz more, $400 cheaper (with coupon codes), and bigger objective. The only thing that the 24 has going is that the eye relief, on paper, is 1/2” better. And maybe a little more versatile to mount due to not...
