There’s merit to having a gun set up identical to a gun you’d shoot less often- say your 6/6.5 creedmoor or PRC. You can get a lot of practice for cheap, there’s plenty of evidence that you can hunt with it, and it’s going to last 20k rounds on the factory barrel.
By that accord, you can get...
Interesting. I have a different experience with suppressed vs unsuppressed. I’ve watched animals drop next to the rest of the herd and the herd not move. I’ve also seen guys take suppressed shots, miss, and connect on the second shot without the animal moving. I have yet to see that happen...
Two BNIB flatline ops halo-x bubble levels for 30mm tube. Decided on the UM tikka level for my rifles.
Asking $110 shipped per or $205 for both shipped.
Selling a like new MTN Gear mountain bipod (picatinny attachment) and picatinny rail with sling attachment. This is the 5.4 oz model that has heights from 4-15”. Super versatile and super lightweight.
Fantastic option to stay fixed on the rifle without knowing it’s there. I haven’t been...
I have a plan to shoot some with TMK. But 62 grain controlled chaos dropped it DRT. I also have plans to use the AAC 75 grain black tip which should perform similar to the ELDM from hornady.
If you want something more “traditional” - mixture of synthetic motor oil and grease until you get a consistency thicker than oil but not paste. Lasts a while, it’s cheap and I’m pretty sure it’s extremely similar to Lucas oil.
I keep suppressed ARs lubricated as needed. Handguns rarely if...
Depends. There are 30 cal cans that have high performance on 556 and 30 cal. most 556 cans are oriented towards ARs. A lot of the new high performance cans (hux, cat, CGS etc) are designed for low back pressure high flow through properties associated with a gas operated system.
There are...
I got an email notification on the last run and when I went to go check out it was already gone. I should have ordered two back in November - but I suppose I can only shoot one at a time
Been eyeing the sako s20 in 6.5 PRC since they have been on sale. I like the idea of modular stock configuration, the accuracy I’ve seen them get, and the fit and finish of the rifle overall.
I’ve owned several tikkas now- I know their quality and how they shoot. With the stainless 6.5 prc...
I believe form mentioned it- but if you swapped to a SRS break or suppressor I think it would offset some of the shortfalls he experienced. It has a lot going for it- 60 degree bolt throw, flush mags, solid accuracy, decent factory stock and the street price at roughly 1200. And preferred is...
