    Bor Lock 270 grain loads

This bullet is the only 270 copper bore locks I've ever recovered from three bull elk kills. Under the hide on the far side after smashing the shoulder on the entry. Every other one has been a pass through. All three bulls were pretty close shots ranging from 16 to 75 yards and one shot...

    Bor Lock 270 grain loads

I shoot 75 grains by weight (about 100 grains by volume) of triple 7 with copper bore locks. Shoots great in my cva optima!

Muzzleloader impact on CO Archery seasons

Where we hunt during muzzleloader season it is noticably quieter for bugles and a lot busier for pressure. I prefer the week after muzzleloader hands down!

    Crossing rivers and streams

We always just take boots, socks, and pants off for the crossing. It's chilly but once you start moving again you'll warm right up. The place we cross is miles from a truck so it's not really feasible to bring waders and it's too wide to rock hop.

    WTT Kimber Montana for Adirondack

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think I'm going to keep the Montana and get it to a smith to be cut down and threaded.

    WTT Kimber Montana for Adirondack

I thought about that and will probably be my backup plan. The added cost of cutting threading is why I would prefer to trade but it might be close to a wash everything considered.

    WTT Kimber Montana for Adirondack

I have a Kimber Montana in 7mm-08 that I'd like to trade for a Kimber Adirondack in preferably 7mm-08 or 308. My rifle shoots sub MOA and is my absolutely favorite gun. The only reason I want to trade for an Adirondack is because I use a suppressor on my Montana and it's longer than ideal...

    Anyone playing with 6.5 StaBall?

I switched to H4350 with the 131 hammer hunters. They are going 2960fps and are very accurate. Sorry never ended up trying with staball 6.5 and the HH.

    Hunting Boulder county

Google search for "D 27 DAU Plan Boulder Creek". It is the CPW's deer management for unit 29. I posted a small snippet of what the CPW has identified as significant issues in gmu 29.

    Hunting Boulder county

Gotcha, good luck with the hunt. I would avoid the Sugarloaf area north of Boulder canyon. In past years there have been a group of residents that protest hunting on the morning of opening day with signs at the turnoff and harass hunters. If you haven't been in the area the vast majority of...

    Hunting Boulder county

Why would you carry a bow? I've hunted it when I was living on the front range. There are lots of deer in the boulder county open space which is no hunting and low country in the suburbs, also no hunting. Very very few deer and a bunch of hunters on the national forest in the western portion...
