I sometimes wish for more magnification. But not as much as I would wish for a scope I had full confidence in when I've been out in the backcountry for a few days banging around and the time comes...
Wasn't aware of a better thread to post this, so i'll just share that three weeks ago hunting the mountains here with my SWFA 3-9 in Sportmatch rings mounted the way this forum recommends atop my Tikka T3X took a HARD hit to the eyepiece of the scope as we were descending on loose scree and my...
I saw that. Hilarious that is announced literally next trading day after I sold. Price went up another 45 cents from where I sold Friday. But anyway, good news for anyone still holding.
But you should never have made that shot with that scope! Are you sure you didn’t bump it twice on a rock, once to knock it out of zero and once to knock it back in?
(joking, of course.)
Sounds like a kick-ass hunt, and that is a beauty of a ram, congrats man and great to see you getting after...
Individuals do not get a bill btw. The rescue unit is the AK State ANG, and they exist up there solely for this reason. LOTS of people get in over their heads in the AK backcountry, ALL the time. The 176th stays really busy.
I actually just sold the 250 shares I had at $12.90 after hours. Had to decide if I really wanted to hold out to see a full 50% gain or not, which would have been $13.65 at my purchase price. But ultimately decided to just take the profit. Figured I shouldn’t pass up a solid profit with all the...
I’ll say this as a guy that lives in HI but is not from HI. Axis deer hunting in Maui is a windfall for the local economy. There are so many deer they are dying of thirst and starvation. They know to stay off the limited huntable plots of public though. But the success rate for a guided day hunt...
How old are you? Training “routinely” since April, id say if you are over 35 you probably are overtrained if you haven’t throttled back periodically. I just hit 40, I train hard and consistently for a couple decades now. And I have to pull back about one week out of every 6 to recover. Cut all...
Is it possible/practical to carry it without the sunway center post attached? The tripod itself seems to small and compact, but the sunway post seems to make it way less convenient to carry. Any reason you couldn’t keep the center post off and just install it when you take it out of your pack...
Dang, every day? You're going hard in the paint!
I too don't use pre-workouts or protein powders. Supplements are Vitamin C, D, Zinc, fish oil. Eat lots of protein and fat at meals. 95% of my food intake every day is is fruit, meat, eggs, oatmeal, cheese, yogurt, nuts.
I quite like the Kowa binos, so I’m being a little facetious. But I still assume the Swaros must be very nice. But like you I’m a working man, and these two Kowa optics were a HUGE stretch to buy. (Wife is gonna be surprised when she sees this new spotter show up…) I do think the Kowa binos are...
My binos are Kowa Genesis 10.5 x 44. Now I’m adding the Kowa 554. I’m hoping that’s everything I need. I have a buddy here with NL Pures that I’m afraid to look through.
Schwab MM fund is at 5.16% now, 4.82% after expenses. Vanguard's is even better (less expenses). Something for everyone to think about considering this is as close to risk-free yield as can be had.
