These prices are why I have only done archery or rifle for the last 2 seasons. Have a little BH left, but just would rather bow hunt than pay these crazy prices.
There are so many of us that have tinkered with this, I’m hoping someone has written it all down.
I keep copious reloading notes, But when it comes to archery I haven’t written a thing down and I’ve been through 7 bows and at least 2 DZ different arrows over the last 30yrs of shooting stick...
What about rimfire at 100yds minimum? Wind drift and drop have many similarities to center fire at 600yds. Would that be permissible to allow more to participate in the Cold Bore Challenge?
I’m still using the $15 WalMart vest from 3 decades ago, but I honestly look at new vests all the time, just haven’t found one that doesn’t come with compromises and at the prices of these new vests, I think it should be better. My latest specific want is she’ll loops for a 410…just because.
For a $60 gun, I’d say try the TSS. Sure it MAY scar the soft smoothbore barrel, but does it have an open choke. TSS typically works better with less choke and a ton of old 410s are full choke.
Another thread got me wondering…
Does anyone have data on how much a fixed blade BH drifts at extended range vs a fixed blade head?
From a properly tuned bow. Not really looking for assumptions as it seems many rock sliders shoot fixed but carry a mechanical for long shots. Just curious why...
Just devil’s advocate, but….If you can’t film for profit, then you also can’t profit from a trophy pic that may gain you a prize in a big buck contest. It’s a slippery slope when gov’t bans anything.
not to mention the amount taxes would be increased in order to increase law enforcement...
