If I was going to hunt deer, I'd likely go for the thickest denier b/c the thin ones will be pretty crunchy in cold weather.
if you're hiking into the mtns for WT then maybe you'd want a zip off. If you are walking in on the flats then my guess is that you'd want to check out the sites...
funn.y Only one name on that list is made in Canada (Taiga). Us CDN's seem to be less focused on manufacturing location b/c most things are made elsewhere.
looks to be some very cheap options out there. Seems like the lower cost options avoid torex and pertex and other branded materials.
I am sure the cheaper material is fine if you're putting under rainpants to protect them.
I have found that the zip offs are just so convenient that non-zips aren't a consideration for me. Mountain hardwear has some great options without zips as well.
I sat in snow on a closed cell foam pant with goretex rain gear over top of the phon bottoms and a black yak primaloft top and I felt great for the hour plus we spent sitting there. Had a merino neck gaiter on and some mountain hardware mitts and I was feeling real good.
Started to feel my...
I believe they do.
I'll dig up that info.
I personally have the rab photon and I'm happy with them so this process is to figure out if I really need down. Will provide the comparison for folks to see.
Don't have time yet b/c of work life but I'm hoping maybe tonight or tomorrow night I can...
Hey everyone.
To save a lot of folks some serious website browsing time can you comment on this thread with the names of down or synthetic insulated puffy pants with full side zips from both hunting and non-hunting brands that you either know of or own.
Seems like there are so many brands and...
Ok cool.
It just seems like an overpriced dufle bag with a zipper. But what do I know. Haha.
I have one on order so I'm sure it'll get the job done.
Thanks

I'd say start with the Prana Zions. It was my first go pant and I'm still using them.
They have dwr but they don't shed water. So my next pant was a sitka timberline. Great pant but it doesn't handle the wet very well either.
Bought kuiu talus hybrid. Handles the cool, wet weather very well...
Really helpful.
Any difference in how they secure a load?
I'll have to watch some sg videos to see how the compression straps work. Curious of the mount points.

Long story short... I am back to using stone glacier as the kuiu frame doesn't fit me. Problem is that I REALLY like the 3600pro.
Previously I had the 5900 and used it as a daypack. It worked and I typically used it with a lid. Sometimes I went with bivy but I prefer some easy access pockets...
Hydro holster in foliage for 10
Camp pocket for 10
2 swing outs for 10
Access bag for 45
75 to you via paypal f&f.
Could I send you 85 for the extra shipping to me in Canada?
Hey everyone.
I am looking to buy a pair of 15x56.
I really like Maven b5 or Sig zulu9.
Meopta sounds like a good one too.
Please reach out if you do have something for sale.
Thank you.
cross posted to main classified forum as well.
Be careful of scammers.
Whenever I have thrown up a WTB thread I have had scammers check in with photos that they've taken from other for sale threads, whether they were from rokslide or Facebook mkt place.
What you're looking to buy is big boom boom so just be damn careful.
