I just received my wildpeaks the other day, so I have not had a chance to drive on them yet. It's what a bunch of guys here recommended. They are mean and aggressive looking, I know they will be great in the snow and mud. I wont buy goodyears after their uhhh lack of "judgement", but those...
I'll be the odd man out here. I suck with hand calls, I never had any luck. I got a foxpro fusion last year and instantly had success. The tx1000 remote is by far the best on the market. There are other features on the call that will increase your odds, i.e. pitch, fusion of sounds, and the...
Look for predator hunting lights. I have both a wicked 403 and a sniper hog kap40. With a focused beam the wicked will shine 600-700 yards, the kap40 is a headlamp that will shine 400-500. You can get any brand in a regular white light and see 500 plus as a flood light, and then focus it to...
I have both ice breakers and artic shields. While I wouldn't want to walk far in either, both could in theory hold up to at least some abuse. The artic shields aren't as warm, but are much smaller than the icebreakers. Ice breakers you would want to strap to your pack where the artic shields...
One thing I found out a few years ago, less can actually be more. I always bought 1600-2400 gram boots, now my boots are 1000, and with boot blankets I can sit longer than my butt would prefer. My next boot will probably be 800 or 1200 gram alphaburlys for use in the snow, and I will again...
I am looking to order either the fanatic vest or Celsius midi jacket to go with my Stratus jacket and fanatic hoody. I like the fanatic material and the layout, but is the bulk worth it compared to the insulating/packability of the midi? I only plan on getting one this year, and the next next year.
If the alphaburlys allow you to sit all day, there's no reason to second guess yourself. The alphaburlys are easily the best rubber boot on the market, and are warm as hell. My issue with them for sitting for an extended period of time is the breathability. My feet sweat and with no air...
I wear danner vitals now, for the most part. I have alphaburlys for early season that are uninsulated. The reason I switched to a regular boot for colder weather is the breathability. My feet sweat terribly so the rubber boots aren’t great for that. I will get alphaburlys for walking in the snow...
Get rid of the Muck boots. I got a steal of a deal on the artic pros last year, last time I buy ever own muck boots. If you want rubber, go with the Alphaburlys, they are so much better quality, and warmth.
That does suck, but you do have to take into consideration this Covid madness. That certainly doesn't make up for the issue, but some of the best customer service departments have been terrible of late.
I would definitely build an AR in 22-250, or 224 Valkyrie. Top with a thermal, I'm no help on what brand/ model. Definitely would by a thermal scanner too. To finish the setup off, I would get a tripod with either a saddle, or a picatinny rail adapter.
I've put roughly 500 rounds through my 20, without any issues. I have never heard about any blowing up, and my guess would be its either reloads with too much pressure, or a possible squib. As for the guy not getting them to function reliably, I've heard they need at least a recoil spring...
I have the V2 as well, the book recommends white hot powder with powerbelts. That what I use, and couldn't be happier. I had shot 777 in my old thompson center, the white hots are much cleaner burning, and seem to deal with moisture a little better.
Its been proven time and time again that scent control does absolutely nothing to actually kill your scent. The only thing proven to work using dogs has been ozone. There have been several "studies" of this done in magazines like Field and Stream, and Outdoor Life. I hunt wind direction as...
I bought a ranger 1000 in May, I too debated on crew or not. I love the 3 seat version, on the trails we have the crew would be good, but once you get off the trails, it would definitely be a little longer than I want. I would also recommend test driving the Ranger compared to the can am, both...
