    I would go with a 5 port for a 338. The TI pro 5 ST comes in .990 OD and the TI pro 4 ST comes in .860 and .990. The SS pro 5 ST comes in .990 and 1.20. The SS pro 4 ST comes in .860 and .990. Go with a TI or SS pro 4 if you want the smallest OD.

    When do children return to school where you are?

    My kids district here in AZ goes by the modified or year round schedule. 7/19-5/24 this school year. They get two weeks off for fall break, two weeks off for Christmas break and two weeks off for spring break. I grew up and went to school in Michigan where we went back after Labor Day.
