I was pretty done trading CDEV having made really good amounts of money. I got off the bus when it hit $9. I just couldn't help myself this morning when it hit $7.60. I am back on the bus.
Tesla is a no brainer. They have a huge head start. The American startups? I wouldn't bet on any of them at their current prices. Rivian tried to save themselves last week by jacking up the price of their trucks for people that already had reservations by $12K to $20K. That went over about...
Pretty good push up after hours. Be interesting to see if it is enough to get some of the shorts to start covering. If it is we might easily see a run up above $9. Not sure what logic they are chasing to continue to hold a short position.
Added to my TSLA position at $858. Earnings report on the 25th might provide some upside push. Might not be enough if the overall market conditions continue downward.
What do you believe is a fair market valuation for company that has no revenue? Their balance sheet has them with just under 60 million in assets. 631 million shares outstanding. So this company that is a hope and a dream has a current valuation of roughly 400 million dollars.
We have spent...
That might be true but Starlink is just a portion of SpaceX's business. Their ability to launch their own satellites is a huge advantage over everyone else. If he decides to take SpaceX public or spin off Starlink as a separate company investors will be lined up around the corner. Elon has...
Really just a hope and a dream at this point. They haven't even put up their test satellite yet. Their website is long on shiny marketing info and short on details. How many satellites will they need to achieve coverage and what kind of timeframe might that take?
To be fair, that fund returned 152% in 2020 and for 3 years is still showing an almost 40% return. She might have gotten oil wrong but she has made a lot of seasoned value investors look pretty bad.
A lot of the legacy auto manufactures are sitting on mountains of debt. Ford will have to do more that sell the Mach E and F150 Lightening. They will have to make money on them. They have tons of legacy costs that they will not easily escape. Ford was issuing debt at near 10% just some...
Great day to be on the TSLA train. Huge beat on Q4 21 deliveries. Q4 21 earnings will be reported on 01/25/22. GigaTexas and GigaBerlin both about to come online will vastly increase capacity and margins. We cracked $1200 again today but I think we go up from here.
CDEV has been quite the gift. Not to dissuade anyone who is holding it long term but big swings have made for really good opportunities to make money. Big thanks to all the fearful sellers that drove it back down under $6 so I could buy it again. I'll be looking to take profit again around $7.75.
The PGAS position that I am holding is down about 52%. At this point I have written it off. Assuming it goes nowhere but down for the remainder of this year it will get sold before the end of the month so I can book the loss and ease the significant tax liability I am looking at.
