I always use the cheap carpet that most people rip out after they close on a new home. I’ve never had a problem glue residue from that carpet. If where you live has new construction, there is usually plenty of that carpet at local flooring companies that they throw away

I’m actually going to start shooting a hinge. I really like my thumb release but most of the time I feel like I’m commanding the shot. I’ll do what Doug does going back and forth in the off-season and use the thumb for hunting.
