96$ plus shipping for the new Static v luxe. I really like my original style static v luxe but that one is about perfect. Saves a bit of weight... 6oz. Plus it's a half inch thicker. Imo that pad will be a homerun!

Check out first lites aerowool. I'm pretty new to the whole technical layering system game but so far on a few hikes and scouting trips I've been very happy with the stuff I've baught from them. Comfortable, fits well, and performs as expected. Tack that on to the other thousands of positive...

Thank you to all that replied. Seems like I have about all I need at this point other than adding a sawtooth. I'm stuck between a vest or full jacket though so that I will have to figure this out.

I've never done anything like this in order to test boots but I pour concrete for a living and have warn overboots while at work. Their big, clunky, heavy. imo would be a waste of money for your intended purpose. I don't personally think they would give you any sort of true indication of what...
I have the static v luxe and I love it! I sleep both on my side and back but mostly my side and it suits me fine. It may be heavier but I'm young and I have no problem toting the weight for the extra bit of pad. its wide enough I'm not concerned about staying in one place all night and enough R...
