Order the pack now, boots later. Like others mentioned the wait for the pack takes awhile, plus you might need to do some fine tuning to the pack, ie. change stays, waist belts or what have you to get it perfect.
Benny- nice bull...can't believe your pard did not want to pack the rack out :) congrats buddy.
Luke- keep us posted on the gen 2! I really want to know if that lumbar pad fixes the issue of it sliding off us skinny guys hips.
If you have the DT you might be able to attach the grab it to the frame like the cargo panel. That would eliminate the space between the grab it and the pack.
Kevin made me some stays that we're flatter then the normal aluminum stays and the pack fits great now. Thank you Kevin, Angie and Kifaru! Big thanks to Aron for taking the time to talk me through it.
Been playing around with the pack now that I have aluminum stays. Still getting a pretty significant hot spot even after making adjustments to the stays. The lumbar pad may just not be for me.

I just got my DT2 and love it. Like Hells Canyon mentioned I paired mine with a cargo panel vs going with the larger bag. Now to the DT vs the T you might want to wait and see what Luke has to say here after he gets back from his sheep hunt. I know he has used the DT and this time the T so we...
Check under military accessories on the Kifaru site, they have an ice ax holder. Not sure if it will work with the timberline or not. It's worth a shot anyhow.
I love mine, I wear out a pair of XA Pro 3d Ultra GTX every year. They are great for most of the year, don't do that well with snow and tend to break down quickly when packing a heavy load. But they don't give me bilsters and that's the most important thing. I have a heck of a time finding a...
