Am I crazy for expecting a leader ship role vs a lower stress position for close to the same money?

What is the third option? I've often found when I gave only two options I need to increase my field of view before making a decision. Where do you wish to be career wise in 5-10 years? Now which of the options you are currently considering get you there in a productive way? What is the...

    Another boot recommendation thread...

Rebuilding a boot lined with Gore-tex can be a fools errand, unless they will replace the Gore-tex liner also. In my boots, the liner fails long before the need to rebuild the boot. I'm not aware of any boot outfit that will do so. That is the heartburn I have over high end (high cost)...

    Any Espresso Junkies?

@Afhunter1 I posted the pic of Medaglia D'Oro Espresso Instant Coffee only half in jest. It is, in all seriousness, my everyday enjoyment. I'm the only one in the house who drinks coffee, it is super easy, super convenient, and every cup is the same, at home, on travel, and on a hunt...

    RAZCO ROMR & Marsupial👍

@Justin (Raz) Rasmussen The ROMR was a pleasant surprise on how well it worked. I've THOROUGHLY enjoyed that holster. I'm definately going to be placing another order in the near future. Clipping the original Marsupial harness into the holster buckles was bomb too. VERY comfy for me, but...

Large caliber vs. small caliber debate

Wow, four pages in and I'm a little disappointed. It was far more amusing, 50 years ago. https://www.rifleshootermag.com/editorial/jack-o-connor-versus-elmer-keith/83989

    New to Muzzleloader

I'm a fan of traditional muzzleloaders and patched roundball in slow twist barrels. Yes, I'll admit the hypocrisy of using a compound bow during archery but preferring the muzzleloader season stay traditional. A good traditional muzzleloader can be very accurate with patched roundballs and...

    RAZCO ROMR & Marsupial👍

Best I've got. The original Marsupial harness snaps into the holster down low. The extra tri glide buckle/strap from Marsupial fits above the lower buckle and buckles into the accessory pouch.

    RAZCO ROMR & Marsupial👍

I purchased the RAZCO ROMR earlier this rifle season to replace the Marsupial Holster I used with my small, magnetic, Marsupial bino harness. While I loved the bino harness and accessory pouches, the Marsupial holster left something to be desired. It tended to swing when walking fast, squeak...

Anyone have a wolf soft mount?

If I get one, I'll likely case skin and stretch with paws intact and have a garment tan done. Hang by the mouth in a corner of the room.

Day Pack Weight- How much is too much?

You must not count water. With a minimum of 100 ozs of water on board, just for example, you'd be over 6 lbs. in water alone. True, some carry more or less depending on circumstances. I know, I know, "no one counts food or water". If I can weigh it, it's counted. YMMV. Several items in...

    Wilderness Hunting Reciprocity. Good idea?

If the citizens of WY have issue with their state's rule, they have the ability to change it. I'm not a fan of people from other states trying to tell my state how they should govern. I suspect the same folks championing the thought of dictating governance to other states in which they do...

Spending 70,000 to avoid owed taxes.

Perhaps I missed the suggestion from others, but what about a donation to your favorite or a new 501c3 charity? Lots of causes out there one can get behind to support after having a blessed year. You may have one you already support, but many of the local type organizations have been finding...

Tips for getting a steady shot in the backcountry.

I would advise getting closer. Personally, that's the most sure way to increase my ability to put rounds on target as I age.

Question about modern manufacturing of firearms vs old

Perhaps it is the difference between art and a tool. Back in the day, if a production rifle shot 1" groups at 100 yards, it was worth crowing about. Now days, many will tell you if that's the best a rifle can do, it's not enough. There were a lot of critters shot and killed by folks with...
