This one should get some people fired up. I was recently chatting with a buddy that’s going on a hunt in Montana and he said he had to pick up an orange vest and hat to meet their blaze orange requirements.
That surprised me, Montana is historically a state pretty proud of their personal...
A buddy of mine recently purchased a howa superlite in 7mm 08 and isn’t happy with the groups he’s getting from a half dozen or so factory options (2-3” @ 100” I’m going to take it this weekend to tinker with it, make sure it’s not him, the scope, the mounts ECT. If in fact it is the gun, do any...

I ended up with a unit...
I’ve been wearing the lapponias since the year they were released. I love them and use them from early to late season. The problem is their durability, i burn through a pair every other season sometimes not even that. The piece of webbing in the corner of the boot that locks your heal in shears...
Field time trumps all. The internet does a great job at getting guys in the field and a poor job of teaching hunter etiquette. Take people under your wing if you can, and if you can’t… well they’re pretty easy to spot and out maneuver. Most of the time they are skylined, or up wind of the...
