Kitchen Game Shears

I use Gerber game shears. Had the same pair for several years and processed lots of quail witht them. Simple design, and clean up is real easy since they come apart with minimal effort.

Custom long range builds kid friendly

Good information here. I can certainly relate as my kids are 6 and 3 and newborn, so Ive been building a similar rifle in my head the last few months. My plans are for either a 6.5 Creedmore or 6.5x47. I think both are accurate, medium size game killers that are light recoiling.

Shooting Schools with a Hunting focus?

I've heard good things about the defensive edge course as well. I've watched his DVDs and it's good info - both reloading and shooting technique.

Accubond performance??

Accubonds do real well in my 300 win mag. I've killed several eastern NC whitetails and a black bear with them and I think they are great. Good expansion and big exit holes. I fully intend to utilize them on an elk in October 2019

What should I buy?

I'd recommend ordering the defensive edge DVD entitled "reloading for long range hunting". I bought it when I first started out handloading for my first custom rifle and learned tons! He also does a good job of showing you equipment that is useful. Reloading for Long Range Hunting

New Guy From NC

Hi guys, I just joined the forum and wanted to say hello. My name is Hunter and I'm from NC. I'm been a long time hunter from the East coast. All set for my first elk hunt in October of 2019. Joined the forum to learn more about backpack/western hunting before my hunt next year. Thanks Hunter
