Why pay for a "custom" action?

Choosing your cam timing, trigger, extraction method.....going to the store and finding rings, that's worth a bunch.

Question about modern manufacturing of firearms vs old

I sit back and listen to the tikka shrine quietly most of the time.....but to compare a plastic and cncd piece to a hand fit hand checkered piece is too much. The kool-aid runneth over tonight.

    Getting into ML

Holy crap....that's $4.25 per shot in just powder.

9mm vs 10mm for Bear defense.

After I killed the bear with my 10mm I backed off to 9 and 40. My shot went home and killed him instantly.....but the follow up shots on the 10 are simply slower and in the event of injury the recoil is substantial enough to possibly not allow the gun to cycle correctly. Whatever you...

    Mike Tyson VS Jake Paul

I'd still not want to catch a punch from grandpa Tyson....but that was hard to watch.

    243 Reloading Setup

Peterson brass is great. I have been trying to see how many firings it takes to rattle the pocket on my 6xc and it looks like it'll be in the 20's. Hornady seating dies can suck and rcbs dies are now made in china. Redding or lee collet is where my money would go. The slide gets hung up on...

    Filson clothing and gear.

I have pretty much everything that carries the name mackinaw or tin cloth. The double mack jacket is expensive but it's also 30 years old now. I have been trying to wear out a pair of double tin pants most of my life.....and my tin cloth coat with wool liner has been in use on bird hunts...

    Getting into ML

At 500 yards my bullet is going 800fps. I have put a bullet lengthwise through a whitetail with an 800fps 45lc. You can look at any of the videos that I've posted and see that it just takes a little practice to make hits way off. I just posted a few videos dusting clays at 300 shooting off of a...

Match bullets vs early hunting bullets

Sometimes you just gotta kill some shit with different tools and see the results. It's a lot harder to hear than it is to see.

    Pre Fouling

You might try an over powder wad. I use a felt wad soaked with lanolin. My rig will print really close to perfect fouled or not.

    Getting into ML

I'd stuff a no excuses bullet and 80grs of swiss with a lubed wad and go win. I have several muzzleloaders that will shoot this well.

    NF vs Trijicon

I have 2 ten miles and 3 nx8's. I prefer the nx8.....but agree the ten mile is a great bargain.

    Aron Snyder leaving Kifaru

Frank, I've spent the better part of 30 years hoping to find a hunting pard that had the mettle you're made out to have. Anyone who takes that for granted has a lot better luck than I ever have. Keep on being that quiet badass and know there's a lot of unknown folks who have a ton of respect...

    Slug vs Buck shot

Simple. It's either dead or lost the two senses that will get me killed, sight and smell. Lower 48 bears, I don't sweat, alaskan brown bears....I have a lot more respect for.

    Slug vs Buck shot

If you choose buckshot.....you better shoot him in the face. A big bear's head is half the size of one of those pigs.

What is "proper cheek weld" I'm getting different advice

With an 8# rifle what's important is that you allow the rifle to recoil the same every time, you control the muzzle jump the same every time and that you repeat this every time. Use your cheekweld to mount the stock and control your scope view to reduce parallax effects and keep your form...

338 Lapua, 30 Hart, or 300 win mag

You posted this in the antelope sub, hence the thick sarcasm you're receiving. Every gun you listed will kill a moose well into 4 digits if you steer it right.
