    Franklin universal bullet seating die

Thanks everyone. I do prep my brass well and carefully measure. I have never had an issue with neck tension. (I will review neck tension). I am just looking for consistency and a fast way to seat bullets. The way I currently seat takes much longer then I believe necessary. The fact that the...

    Franklin universal bullet seating die

Does anyone have experience with the Franklin Universal Die? I am considering one because I am having difficulty maintaining the correct seating deph and the kit covers a broad spectrum of calibers. The more I read and learn on Rokslide the more precise I want to be. I have not been able to...

    Polishing resizing dies

I like the idea of polishing the inside of dies. A lot of crud builds up around a reloading bench.

Full Length Size vs Neck Size

Been following the Neck size versus full length resize debate for awhile on both this and other forums. I neck size and have been for decades. When I was first learning reloading I was taught to neck size. My rifles all shoot very well when neck sized although there are a few other variables...

Reloading Brass with Mixed Number of Firings

I have been shooting a 7mm mag for decades. Have no idea the number of firings per case. I just put fired cases in a plastic box and reload as needed. I only have about 50 cases left out of a hundred or so due to loss while hunting. Bought about six boxes of federal ammo and have been using it...

    New brass question

I'm in the same boat. I don't count firings and I am not terribly organized. The only thing I do is place fired cases in a plastic storage box and reload from this box as needed. I have brass that I have been rotating for 25 years. Have had few split necks, maybe two. Most of my shots are...

What is on your hunting bucket list?

Another wolf hunt, Lynx and trophy whitetail. I never tire of hunting Whitetail deer. Plus a free range buffalo.

    Muzzleloader in the Backcountry?

My TC encore frequently stays loaded for 4 or 5 days. Always goes off. However were I on a western hunt I would reload every morning. Why risk the chance it does not go off. I have been shooting muzel loaders over forty years. Have only had two misfires with modern inliners but at least a dozen...

Small Brass Primer Holders for MK 85

I would agree that few people use them these days. In fact few even know what they are. I beleive they are the first conversion kit made by knight. The MK 85 always felt good in my hands and was very effective. I made some great shots with it and killed some nice bucks. Nostalgia is the main...

Small Brass Primer Holders for MK 85

Udate: bought two packets of the small primer adapters which gives me about 30 adapters total. Since they are good for at least 20 loads apiece (frequently more) I should be set. There are 4 packets left. Anyone interested in these adapters should buy soon as they are extremely rare.

    Hunter attacked by dogs

People get emotional about their pets. I was once cornered in my tree stand while bow hunting for half an hour. No side arm and no bear spray. This was a mixture of what I would call a friendly bunch of neighborhood dogs but not after they packed up "they were hunting." Still I would not shoot...

These are the primer holders I am looking for: any assistance will be appreciated. The small white particles are cleaning media.

Idahoans do not like out-of-state hunters

Sorry for your bad experience. I would suggest that it is the minority that are giving the negative experience. I know to a certain extent it happens in every state. I also know there are a lot of good people in Idaho. It's just the negative ones that stand out and get remembered the most. I am...
